drug dealers and thugs

his childhood was a dark time. most kids grow up in normal families, having a close relationship with their parents. usually their mom would console them when they were sad, take care of them when they were sick. unfortunately jun’s upbringing was anything but normal or happy. his mother was abusive, and his father didn’t do anything to stop her from doing so but whenever he was around the beatings weren’t as severe. when his father died he expected his mother to be sad, to be less hard on him. but, no. she didn’t even stay for the funeral, nor did she let jun stay to mourn for the traditional three days. she complained that she was far too busy and that if she stayed any longer she’d feel depressed. it was bullshit. and junhyeok knew it.
during his childhood he wasn’t allowed to have friends. at least friends he could hang out with outside of school, which made it hard for him to develop his people skills. but there was one boy at school who sparked his interest. particularly he made him more angry. he got into many fist fights with him. over classmates, over snack time, over games they played, and even over who got to go down the slide first. he came home every other week with a new injury. one day a bruise, another a black eye, even a broken nose or two. seeing that, it made his mother even more mad at him. throwing curses at him left and right, ‘HOW COULD YOU LET THAT FUCKING BOY TOUCH YOU AGAIN. YOU’RE LOSING MONEY EVERY TIME YOU COME HOME WITH ANOTHER BRUISE. MONEY, JUNHYEOK. MONEY. DOES THAT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU?!’ she’d scream on a daily basis.
