A little late posting this but wow I can’t believe it’s been 20 years since Come on Over by @shaniatwain was released ❤️😊 This will always be Shania’s biggest album to date with over 40 million copies sold worldwide and still counting its not only the biggest selling country album of all time but it’s also one of the biggest selling albums in music history and the biggest ever by a woman now that’s a huge achievement and with so many iconic tunes both in country and in pop like “That Don’t Impress Me Much”, “You’re Still The One”, “Love Gets Me Every Time”, “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” and so many others it was a true crossover success for Shania & really brought in the country-pop revival in the late 90s-early 2000’s with other acts such as Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Lonestar, Leann Rimes and so many others and it inspired some of today’s country-pop artists as well like Carrie Underwood, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini & of course Taylor Swift among others 😊
This album is special to me personally because this album introduced me to Shania and really country music in general when I was a kid ❤️. I remembering listening to one of Shania’s songs on the radio one day I was 4 at the time I believe it was From This Moment On I think haha and I remember really liking that song and one day I was at the mall with my grandparents and I seen the album and I really really wanted it so my grandparents bought it for me and it was the first CD I ever gotten as a kid and I just fell in love with this album from the moment I started listening to it I remember dancing to all the songs especially That Don’t Impress Me Much, Love Gets Me Every Time & Whatever You Do (Don’t) my favorites On the album but I do love every single song on it 😊 and I just instantly became a fan of her music and I’m still a huge fan to this day and got all of her albums including her latest album (and first in 15 years) “Now!” (Which is amazing btw 😊) but I’ll always come back to this album because this will always bring back so many memories from my childhood 😊
Anyways happy 20 years “Come on Over” ❤️😊 #shaniatwain #comeonover #20yearstoday #countrymusic
