21 de diciembre. Solsticio de invierno de un año excepcional. Pese a las singulares circunstancias que, en general, estamos atravesando, gran parte de la humanidad, especialmente en el llamado mundo occidental, y de fe cristiana, se prepara para celebrar la nochebuena, la Navidad y recibir esperanzada el nuevo año. Supongo que, en esta oportunidad, más allá del eterno llamado a la paz o al cese al fuego en cualquier punto del planeta, o al desarme, se ora y se pide por un mundo libre de pandemias y flagelos que nos permitan disfrutar de bienestar y salud, y de retornar, de alguna manera, ahora casi idílica, a esas viejas costumbres de juntarnos, besarnos, abrazarnos y compartir en grupos, aspectos inherentes a nuestra condición humana, hoy conminada por nuevas amenazas, que desde la naturaleza hasta las diferencias de ideas atentan contra nuestra malsana pero querida existencia. Confiemos entonces en que el 2021 sea mejor que este moribundo y pestilente año, total, ser mejor que el 2020 será muy sencillo.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ December 21. Winter solstice of an exceptional year. Despite the unique circumstances that, in general, we are going through, a large part of humanity, especially in the so-called Western world, and of Christian faith, is preparing to celebrate Christmas Eve, Christmas and welcome the new year with hope. I suppose that, on this occasion, beyond the eternal call for peace or cease-fire anywhere on the planet, or disarmament, we pray and ask for a world free of pandemics and scourges that allow us to enjoy well-being and health, and to return, in some way, now almost idyllic, to those old customs of getting together, kissing, hugging and sharing in groups, aspects inherent to our human condition, today intimidated by new threats, that from nature to the differences of ideas attack our unhealthy but dear existence.
