This song is a good example of the more electronic side of today’s pop. As I am using reason this will probably be closer to what I will be going for than the first song. They have introduced the song with the main rhythmic section along side a nice melody which acts as the verse, sung by a guest singer. A popular thing that producers like this do is get a foreign artist to sing simple, english lyrics. This provides relatable lyrics but a voice that sounds somewhat different and fresh to the listener. It then moves into the main melody which is part of the hook, which acts as a transition into the main lead which features the main rhythm section and a few added effects for a more full sound. The song repeats this melody for a solid 8 bars before transitioning into the verse again. To differentiate this verse from the first verse and keep more energy from the chorus they have added a clap/click every 2nd beat, followed shortly by a kick drum. After a short dip in the momentum of the song they bring it back up again with the pre-chorus/hook which has a lot more energy than the previous verse because of a kick drum on every beat and a few additional backing vocals and additional effects. They then go into another chorus which is followed by a lead instrumental which is in the form of a bridge/lead solo. It then goes into the final chorus which is the outro to the song. This is a very pop like song structure and is a good example to follow by in making my own pop song.
