It amazes me how sometimes you can talk to people and there is no connection at all and then other times you meet someone and everything just flows so easily without effort.

I love that.

I used to think being interesting was the way to be noticed. Then I met someone who notices the uninteresting parts too — the in-between moments, the ones with nothing performed in them, the silence that isn't going anywhere and isn't supposed to. You don't need me composed for you to pay attention. You pay attention to the decomposed version just as closely.

That undid something in me I didn't know was braced.
