my favourite kind of character is a woman who wants to be evil soooo bad and she's trying so hard but she's so bad at it. not even in a "she's too good" way she's just so incredibly cringefail. like yeah she did some seriously evil stuff but she was such a loser about it. she's trying to kill you and you are gonna make fun of her about it the entire time.

The third time I’ve gone through the Mabel Podcast I’ve been working in an herbarium alone… at night… going through hundreds of old mosses that have been in there for decades. So yeah, when I heard Vera was made of moss I was like “oh yes.” So she’s based on the first moss I’ve identified Tortula brevipes (or T. muralis but it’s rare so I’m … skeptical). They are very pretty! I put one of the leaves in the background and based her dress and ‘horns’ (actually the peristome and teeth on the capsule).
