Seunghyun held up the gaudy Christmas mess of knitted fluffery. It was designed to look like Rudolf but came off more like some demented demon animal with an actual blinking nose. There must have been a wire running through it but how in the hell it was being powered was just beyond Seunghyun’s imagination. No wonder things like this ended up here, in the backend of a thrift store where he’d managed to drag Belle out with him, despite her horror. Her comment however, was completely unnecessary. belle stared at him, a look of disgust on her face. she didn’t call him over this early in the morning for such a bad joke. “shut up jaegu,” she mumbled, scrolling through her instagram feed while laying on her white leather couch. joking about such a thing was low, even for him. sure, their parents often joked about it but they never took it serious. belle’s mother might adore jaegu, but it would be weird for all of them if they actually did such a thing. “i didn’t ask you to come here to tell me bad jokes i invited you over so we can go get some brunch.”

oh, how he wished he was joking. his parents absolutely adored belle -- thought the world of her, and thought her ideal for him. his mother, especially. god only knew how often his and her mother spoke to each other while he was overseas. thinking about it now almost made him shudder. but he tried to keep his cool, as he always tried to do around belle (though, more often than not, it didn’t exactly work). “much as i wished i was joking, i’m not,” he told her, standing there with his hands in his pockets and his eyes hoping to bore holes in belle’s skull. maybe that’d get him out of this nightmare. “my mother called me over breakfast about it, yelling in my ear and everything. and how come you haven’t had yours yet? what time did you wake up, you slob?”

”So... you mean that you haven’t?” Resting his elbows on the bar counter to soon place chin on his palm and let out a quiet chortle, he stared blankly at the girl for a short while.

“You women have that intuition, so I guess that if you sensed that he was an asshole and a part of you told him to stab the guy or whatever, then maybe it was the right thing to do.” Ending his statement with raising his eyebrows and another chuckle being breathed out, he tapped his fingers on the surface before getting up from the bar stool and holding his hand out to the other. “Come on, let’s wreak your nerves elsewhere instead of drowning it in another glass.”

song jaegu wasn’t petty or anything. and he liked to think he wasn’t childish, he really did, but it was just too fun messing with belle, and way too amusing for him to even think about resisting temptation. “i know i did.” he danced with her nonetheless, meaning to dip her low, and make it seem every bit the romantic cliche they weren’t. “want me to do it again so you can do your thing where you state the obvious?”

Girl with a style like that would look very pretty on her arm in her next gossip magazine cover.

"ha! that’s where you’re wrong -- i don’t have a heart. why do you think i’m rooting for the bad guy who just shot the dog?” jaegu reached for the popcorn and, being tired of constantly reaching out for it, placed it between them instead. the maid could come clean it up in the morning. “and just because i like this bad guy doesn’t mean i think he’s going to get away with it.” a pause, and a more indignant mumble followed soon after: “doesn’t stop me from hoping though.”

to these two, these were definitely dirty words. the names of chanel, louis vuitton, yves saint laurent were enough to get them excited (along with a bunch of other cheongnam graduates who were fashion advocates like them). “you’re so silly,” belle giggled, looking at the prada wallet and matching purse the sales associate brought out for the two to see. “a matching prada wallet and purse to start of the year is a little bit too much to start the day but it’s not going to stop me.”

"I'm serious!" Chaerin chuckled, immediately running her hands sensually down the other girl's shoulders and back. It was all only in good fun, of course, even though she was giving Belle her most dramatic sexy eyes as she pulled the other into her arms. "You had me at 'Louis viotton'. Be still my heart! I've found love at last!" She burst into laughter and finally let Belle go. "What are you even saying 'a little bit too much'- there's no such thing. We've only just gotten started shopping and I'd say this is an excellent beginning." She nodded and looked over the rack of high-end bags and purses. "Hmm, I'm going to wait until I've bought the dress I came here for thought, and then buy a matching purse for it."
