@247jin // 2018 . gosang restaurant . jung . 11:00 pm
kihyun takes the announcement sign inside before closing the doors for the night. again it was a productive day, busy yet very rewarding. it’s a beautiful feeling to end the day on a good note with resolved problems and a lingering sense of accomplishment within the kitchen staff. kihyun had been working with the majority of the staff at gosang for years now and holds no qualms that haven’t already settled in the past, however with jin it’s a different story with all of them. a bond is hard to create, everyone in gosang knows perfectly well, and after the change of management of the restaurant, the staff, including kihyun were taken aback. the bond created after all these years was broken and somehow they all decided to stick together and found it difficult to open up to the new owner of gosang.
it has only been a few months and there is still a heavy air around them when everyone isn’t working. before it would be easy to make conversation during and after work, but everyone continues to stay quiet, continuously studying jin and how he works. would he get mad if i do this? what if i say this? it’s like walking on eggshells and kihyun is guilty of practicing this as well. still he didn’t want to completely isolate his boss and as a sous chef, he took the initiative of the staff to speak and familiarize himself with him. more-so he was thankful of the rise in position. although kihyun didn’t speak much, he showed his gratefulness by his work and passion throughout each night.
“if you need a scapegoat, you can tell him you’re coming with me to the camping trip.” one of the staff spoke behind kihyun as he was in the process of unbuttoning his white jacket off. “what are you talking about?” his coworker leans in, making sure no one will be able to listen despite the dressing room was completely separated from the kitchen. “boss is inviting people for dinner and a lot of us aren’t really feeling like going... it’s going to be weird.” kihyun places his jacket in the hook and closes his locker before turning around with a sigh. “it’s always going to be weird if you guys stop avoiding his attempt to get closer. if not we’re never going to be okay.” as much as kihyun would like to have joined them, he’s bold enough to see how silly running away is.
“another good night.” kihyun speaks up, entering the kitchen where he found jin once everyone had left the building. “is there anything else you’d like me to do before i leave?”

— Life Imitates Art
( — @247jin )
Art is a passion he speaks of so rarely that it could come across as a well-camouflaged interest of his, but he may be sharing the same amount of admiration for it like he does for music. It puts him at ease, cleanses his cluttered mind and also inspires him greatly, so in the midst of spring, with the summer season fast approaching, he’s in need of going to a gallery like never. Those past months have been insanely busy that Jiyong hardly had time for kicking back and taking a breather. He has been a shell of himself and even when an opportunity for simmering down his usually bustling dailiness at least for a moment came about, out of a sudden the fate’s spitefulness must’ve upset the apple cart.
But today he determines it’s the day he downshifts and turns off his phone. And although he believes everybody will be just fine with him being entirely out of reach for a couple of hours or so, there still is that thought bugging him that out of nowhere hundreds of people will urgently want something from him while he remains quite literally disconnected. Though as he leaves his apartment, he effaces that nonessential bother with the hope his suspicion won’t come true.
Edge might be his favourite art gallery in the city. Ever since he can remember, it has been offering exhibitions including exceptionally remarkable pieces and going there he isn’t ever sure what to really expect and it’s a highly valued asset of the place.
Despite having paid it countless visits, now walking inside again feels like entering it for the very first time. Greeting the already familiar receptionist with a polite nod, his gaze soon drifts towards the gouache paintings. Casually folding arms in front of his chest, he proceeds to examine a pastel coloured artwork right before him and the surroundings seem to vanish. Inching closer, his slightly narrowed eyes scrutinize the delicate brushstrokes and straight off it makes him wonder what trained precision rested in the author’s hand. Taking a step back to seize the framed picture as a whole after focusing on its nuances, Jiyong rapidly turns around once he bumps into another person and therefore is reminded of not being the sole guest at the gallery.
“Excuse me, I--” he begins and an apologetic smile writhes his lips, but then he glances up at the other and the man’s similarity is striking. Perplexity washes over his features and a bell rings forthwith — Kim Seokjin. The sight of his old classmate is probably the most unpredictable view he could’ve witnessed in here.

THIS IS JUST IN: @247jin
Have ghosts made it into our universe or Kim Seokjin really is back in Seoul? He was freely roaming around the city the other day, so maybe next week we’ll see him being handcuffed in the streets! We all know where Silver belongs.
