Seeing Lisa here isn't exactly a bad thing, but seeing her on the arm of someone Jongin considers his arch-enemy is not exactly what he'd consider fun. He sees them together, enter into the party from the other side of the room, and his stomach churns and his lips curl into a snarl. It's bad enough that he and Seunghyun have to be here at the same time together, but he's with Lisa? Since fucking when? Jongin didn't restrict Lisa's sexuality, but by God, really? That asshole?

He grits his teeth, his mood souring and rotting, and waits for her to be alone for a few moments before he heads over like a shot, making a b-line for her. He doesn't even pretend to be happy to see her or try to be smooth to keep up appearances, he just grabs her by the wrist and says, "Come with me now." And yanks her away from whatever she was doing, pulling her through the crowd to one of the backrooms. He's angry and it's obviously probably in every inch of his tensed body.

One of their rules was “no violence” but they’re not technically together now.

beginning of the end | lisa + tabi

It's not the first time Seunghyun has had a beautiful woman attached to his arm at a public event, but it is the first time he and Lisa are going somewhere public and open together, in a room full of people who already know them. It's quite nerve-wracking, but he's not sure if his heart is fluttering because of the tension or because Lisa manages to look really, really good even while playing a dead girl.

She fits on his arm fantastically well, and he can't help but grin down at her as she strides beside him into the main room. They present their invitations and walk in arm-in-arm and even though Seunghyun is wearing not much more than a black, classic suit, he enjoys seeing people's faces as they lay eyes on Lisa's shredded wedding dress. It's so authentic-looking and perfectly fitted to her, he was impressed when he'd seen it. But then again, this is Lisa-- she would never shirk on something as important as clothes.

He thought he got better, he thought. Despite a couple of trivial nuances here and there, he wasn’t on a warpath with anyone, not anymore. But as always, Jiyong was seeking for more. And it wasn’t about the material things money could buy — sometimes he didn’t know what to do with this cash gracing his bank account.

About a year ago, all he wished for were parties and manifold distractions, mostly in form of the so-called booty calls and one-night stands. There was still some time until his age would reach 30, the number sowing fear and plenty of doubts, yet lately he was feeling the odd will to settle down. Of course, not like he was already having marriage in mind. It would only feed his parents’ sick satisfaction.

A million of bad habits to were to be kicked and his alcoholism seemed to come first, if he was to set any order of those that needed to be ditched for good. Yet there he was, with his legs outstretched before him as he sank further into the sofa, holding a bottle of Johnny Walker in one hand and an empty glass in another. Usually downing a drink or two would make the tension in his back go away, but now sitting in nearly deafening silence and staring blankly ahead at the black TV screen wasn’t likely to help him with solving any of his tangled problems.

The corners of his eyes were faintly reddened and stubble was subtly showing on his chin. Glancing down, his gaze abruptly darted towards the bottle. It was almost half-full and his liquor cabinet held various alcohols, mainly those he got for his birthday. What he needed was someone to talk, though. Not even to keep up with the conversation probably leading to nowhere but a pair of attentive ears.

Jiyong leaned forward, putting the glass down on the coffee table in front of him and then reached for his phone. He squinted at the sudden brightness attacking his pupils and scrolled down the contacts list, not paying much attention to the number he soon chose to call. The dialing tone panted a tad of hope that the person on the other side wasn’t asleep as well.
