Gossip Girl Inspired Sentence Starters.

Seungri skipped towards the younger girl and greeted her in a loud, cheerful manner before settling down on the seat opposite. She replied with a passive ‘hi’ which contrasted his energetic greeting. He jutted out his lower lip in a pout, clearly unhappy with her lack of enthusiasm. With a tilt of his head, he observed her and he could sense something was wrong. Seungri noticed the junior was distracted. 

He nudged her arm on the table to get her attention, “Hey, you alright?”

Seungri tried brainstorming of what might have caused her to be acting this way. Did GG release a post about her? Bad day? Could it be her period? There were so many possibilities and the senior did not know how to narrow down the list. Her lips parted, as though she wanted to say what was on her mind but her thoughts hindered her from doing so. 

Forget it, it doesn’t matter.

His eyebrows knitted at her response. Unsatisfied, he probed further, “It matters if you’re affected by it. What happened?”

Climbing up the staircase, Seungri tripped over several times. He would have fallen, if not for his hold on the railing. A soft giggle followed each time he almost falls over, his fingers gripping the cold metal tighter to prevent his body from meeting the hard cement floor. “That was close.” 

He sighed upon reaching the right floor. It was just his luck that the elevator was under maintenance. Seungri was still a little buzzed from all the partying that night so walking a straight line proved to be a challenge. Instead, he leaned his body against the wall for support and trudged to his apartment. To his surprise, there was a visitor. A lady knocking on the door. 

Approaching this stranger, he enquired, “May I help you?” It was only when he stepped closer that he recognized who it was. A neighbour from downstairs. Seungri straightened up upon realizing this and blinked hard at her, rather confused why she was here at such an odd timing. “So- Sohyun?”

“There needs to be an explanation to all of this…”

“There- I, I’m sure, I think there is one… I think.” Seunghyun wasn’t having the greatest time coming up with the correct words to say to reassure her. Not tonight. He was a mess himself, barely keeping himself from vomiting or collapsing somewhere, but what sort of older brother would he be able to call himself if he went off and cowered somewhere. He needed to look out for her, now that he knew she was his sister.

He wanted to stay close to her, to protect her, despite the growing suspicion in his mind that he was probably the next victim. If that were true though, perhaps it would be a good thing that she might be there when he died, so he could say goodbye the way he never really got a good way to say hello. He’d just been super awkward around her tonight, unable to really cross that barrier of communication.

But god, he really didn’t want to fuck this up. She probably thought he was a weirdo, hanging around her like this, but at least she hadn’t told him to scam just yet. There was hope. “I don’t think we should go looking for trouble though… if that’s what you’re thinking. Please just… stay somewhere safe.”

Seunghyun had two things in his pockets. One pocket had a picture of a young girl's school yearbook photo, just a cut-out of her face. He was hoping she still looked something like this, even though there was always a possibility that she had changed her features; her nose, her eyes, her hair, anything. He couldn't seem to find a more recent photograph of her, but he was keeping his eyes open.

The second pocket held a letter, written by the yearbook photo girl's mother, to his own mother. Explaining their connection. Half-siblings. Her name was Kwon Sohyun (funny how her last name was the same as his best friend's, but she was related to him instead), she was a few years younger than him, shorter, smaller, naive. He'd never had a sister before. Or any siblings. He knew his father had another family, but they were not his family, and never really allowed to talk to him.

But now, this was different. His whole reason for being here was just to find her and as he walked through into the main dining area, he could feel all his senses waking up, everything driving him to find her. After about an hour, he finally picked her out of the crowd, stalking her for a good almost half-hour before finally coming up to her side to say something. Except.... he couldn't say anything. His voice was caught in his throat. All he could do was stand there, staring at her with wide eyes and a tense jaw, his lips parted but breathless. He couldn't speak. Shit.

my little sister || solo

Seunghyun's hands were shaking the entire ride to the fundraiser, so he kept them tightly wound in his pockets, one of them gripping a piece of paper, hoping his manager wouldn't notice as she drove him. She was busy talking about how he should have invited Bora to the event, since many people would be watching him, but Seunghyun hadn't been able to bring himself to do that. Not tonight-- this had to do with something much, much different than his dating career.

About a year ago, his mother had given him a note, a letter, transcribed by a woman she had never met before but knew was telling the truth. His mother had told him the contents of the letter before he'd even read it; the real reason why she and his father had divorced when Seunghyun was only two years old. She knew he had always blamed himself for their separation, but now it was time to come clean, time to set the record straight. He was old enough now to know that his father was a cheating, lying bastard.

Seunghyun had always had the suspicion that the man wasn't what he was portrayed to be in the papers, a CEO head-figure, glamorous and shining in the business world. A man like that always had secrets, he reminded himself as he read the letter written by the other woman, addressing his mother and informing her of the affair. And consequential pregnancy.

Somewhere out there, Seunghyun had a sister. It was something that had burned on his mind for a whole year and after doing some research, he'd found out to his dismay; they had gone to the same school, Cheongnam High, albeit in completely different years. They wouldn't have met, would they? He couldn't remember her. How could he not remember his own sister? But seeing her now and seeing her history, he had no idea how to get in contact with her or how to bring them together at last.

Until tonight. The fundraiser was a non-negotiable event for Cheongnam Alumni, everyone had to attend. She would be there. Right? He had to go alone this time, and unlike any of the other parties he'd attended lately, he needed to keep his wits about him and stay sober. Even if Seungri was there, he needed to be focused tonight to find her. He couldn't ask Bora to accompany him just only to ignore her the entire time. He didn't much like her, but he wasn't cruel. No, tonight needed to be about something else.

red lips quirking up into a slight smile, hyeri looks at sohyun and raises an eyebrow. “but i didn’t know you were so shameless, sohyunnie. are you coming on to me?”
