Knee pain :/
So my knee pain is still continuing. My knee is still cramping & the pain is going down to my ankle. It sucks that this cortisone shot really didn't work. All I do is lay down & ice my knees ALL day at home before work & do my job. And when I'm at work, I just do my job & sit when I can to take the weight off my knees. And I have to have BAGS of ice on my knees while at work. It sucks because my knees are either giving out, making loud painful popping noises or throbbing in pain. I'm ready to be pain free. I'm ready to start physical therapy & hopefully be able to go to an orthopedic. It sucks that I'm 24 years old & already have problems with my knees. I'm done hurting. I truly am.
1st Round Of Cortisone Shots
First round done today around 9am to get rid of the pain that my arthritis is causing in my knees. The arthritis, the mencius tear and my out of place knee cap. Ugh, when I tweet #24GoingOn84, I am not joking. The shots weren't too bad. There was discomfort and the fluid (cortisone and lidocaine) that was placed into my knee felt weird. My knees are stiff and sore currently. I've taken 4 ibuprofen 200mg tablets and nothing seems to elevate the pain/discomfort. I've tried the ice packs, only once so far. I really hope that I can get better and stronger so I can avoid surgery on my knees just a while longer. But it's sad when your doctor gives you the news that even with being inactive (minus work), my knees got WORSE within 3 weeks. Ugh. All I can be is hopeful that cortisone & physical therapy allow me to go back to my normal functioning self. I'm going to start to take glucosamine and multivitamins to keep up with my body. Maybe next week I'll start doing pool exercises and cycle (if I can). Figured I would give an update. I plan to start doing more personal updates and posts, along with everything else. Xoxo
