my opinion on;

character in general: Alright alright. Kanji is SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER honestly. His struggles are really realistic and I think it sheds a bit of light on some issues about masculinity and what it means to be a ‘man’ (and my dad is the kind of person who basically thinks that all men should go out hunting and tree-climbing in the woods every day so I know that these issues are real and that they do hurt people.) Maybe that’s why I really felt Kanji as a character, because it’s not something that’s brought up a lot -- the casual homophobia and meanness that passes between guys a lot of the time, and the way that can be really, really hard if you are in any way outside of those norms and how stifling it can be and ... It’s really interesting for me to see this portrayed but BEYOND ALL THAT, Kanji is just such an important character. Whether he’s defending his manhood or portraying the birth of venus or making philosophical observations, Kanji is just a character that I love a LOT and everything that he does makes me laugh or otherwise just feel, because he’s remarkably well fleshed out. He feels very real to me and I just love ... everything about him okay.  I’ll stop now.how they play them: Your Kanji is such a pleasure to read honestly! We’ve only had one thread to my knowledge and that’s partially my own shyness but honestly such a shame because your Kanji is really really well done! You’ve got his speech patterns and his demeanour and everything down, and I’d really love to develop something more in-depth with you sometimes because your Kanji is really good and just ... sorry I’m a little burned out on compliments but see everything I said above and just you really do him justice okay? Really well done.the mun: I’ve never spoken to you personally but we’re shitposted a few times and you’ve made me laugh a lot. You seem like a really fun person to be around and overall I’m really glad to have your presence on my dash because you’re funny but also a really quality writer and all in all just lovely to have around.

I’d never really considered it before seeing fanart after completing the game, and I haven’t really seen it developed, but I think it’s a sweet idea? More than that though I think that Yu and Kanji are really precious as friends, and I love the dynamic that they have, even if Yu can say some kind of rude things at times. What I’m saying is that I’m open to shipping them romantically, but I’ve given a lot of thought to them as friends and I absolutely love them platonically.

overall opinion: A really fun and well-developed Kanji that I hope to interact with more in the future! I guess, to sum it all up, what I could say best is I want............

my opinion on;

character in general: 

Kanji is so precious and important all the time and I love him so darn much. I can’t even describe how much I love him as a character and I’m upset that I can’t.how they play them: That said, despite being sweet and precious Kanji definitely has bite to him and you’re definitely good at playing it while still keeping him generally level headed but still seeming approachable. Being able to do that, I think, is definitely challenging and I applaud it.the mun: We haven’t ever talked ooc so I can’t really say anything about em. Some point we defintely should~
