I actually really liked 24x21. Obviously, the Rollisi baby reveal was just the cutest, with Carisi so happy he was almost bursting with it.

But besides that, in amongst the usual seriousness of the casework, the episode felt kind of ... fun? Like, the dialogue was peppered with one-liners and jokes that had me laughing out loud at times.

And I would totally watch a Cagney & Lacey-style reboot with Muncy and Churlish - they were so funny together (and worked so well with each other) in this ep.

No, seriously I didn’t know how much I needed more Benisi? scenes until today. And I know we had plenty back when Carisi was one of Liv’s detectives, but now it hits different, because now they’re actual friends. Not that they weren’t before, but now she’s not his boss, she’s just Liv, just Benson. They’re equals, and they genuinely love and care about each other.

I know it’s completely unrealistic for an ADA to be out there investigating a crime, but honestly? They make such a great duo. I’m all in for Carisi being Liv’s unofficial (and totally unrealistic) partner.
