Since the day called for it, and my girlfriend demanded it, I watched Friday the 13th last night. I had never seen it before and it was much creepier than expected. Many of the characters were dumb as all hell but it moved quickly and was able to hold my attention even with there being a lack of sex that was talked up to me. It did what a film in a huge series should do though and made me intrigued about the next one.
I have had this book for years. I stole, well I took it with permission but without paying, a whole box of them from an old job with my boss' consent. I had a great joke in mind to give a copy of the book to everyone in my family for a present. I never did and still have a box of books at my parents' house if I didn't try to sell them to Half Priced Books. I figured, after working his show on NYE, that I should finally read it as my book of the month and I spent almost all day yesterday reading it. As a family survival guide it plays more as a dumping ground/trial run for material from his routines and as a comedy book it tries to be much more serious than it is. Not necessarily knowing what the book should be, in my opinion, left the read for me to be a bit laborious and tiring. Glad I can finally check it off of my list though and if I can find those other copies then my family better get ready.

Even if it is the same sort of thing from one or two episodes in the most current season, this comedy special has one of the best production budgets/qualities that I have ever seen. It keeps all the great audience interactions that I think more comedy specials should do as it is a big part of a comedy show. It makes their live show seem really interesting too.
