Another thought on 25x02: Not going to lie, this was the best line of the whole episode, thank you, Sergeant Tutuola:
"No, ATF said that gun has been passed around more than little Nicky Carisi at his baptism."
Iconic. 😂

I’m not sure if 25x02 was successful in its approach to the topics it was trying to portray. Like, I know SVU is a problematic show just like any other cop/lawyer show. I tend to watch and enjoy it from my non American perspective. I try to focus more on the solving of the mysteries, the involuntary humor, and my love for some of the characters, so I’m not the best judge when they try to tackle social or political topics. Not that any of the topics on this show aren’t political or social, it’s just that sometimes the discourse is more prominent in some episodes than in others.
Anyway, without getting too deep into the case: Liv is kinda losing it with the whole Maddie thing, and I’m glad her friends are there to catch it.
I loved all her scenes with Carisi. He’s never going to be Barba, but he’s there for her and has faith that she’s going to get justice for Maddie. The ending was priceless, him inviting her for drinks and her wrapping him into giving her his expertise while trying to analyze a psych profile 🤣.
