Explain: I didn’t think this was a big enough thing to leave a review about, but seeing as how this user is causing problems for other adopt artists now, I figure I may as well throw this out there.
Firstly, my order form says to include a link to the dragon, but NorthPaw simply provided an image with no link. When this happens I tend to skim through the person’s lair to locate the dragon in question, but it seemed as though the dragon didn’t exist. This was only an issue because the dragon had stained, and I make my adopts using symbols in Flash, so I actually needed to pull up this specific dragon in the scrying workshop to get its colors with and without the stain color. So I asked if they could provide me with another image.
And they simply told me it was from the scrying workshop. Which still didn’t help me at all. So I explained why I needed another image.
And they still didn’t seem to understand? But while this was happening I happened to be in a discord call with my friend, who managed to scry the exact dragon while we were trying to sort this out, and then dropped it into my shop to help them out.
So it was a big hassle and all, but at that point the problem was solved right? No big deal.
Until 3 days later.
It’s perfectly fine to want a progress update when an artist is making art for you, but, this just came off as very rude to me. I was working the 29th of November through the 2nd of December and hadn’t had time to make the adopt yet. A quick look through my shop could have told them that it usually does tend to take me roughly a week to get to peoples’ orders. Not to mention looking at my slots list would have shown them that they were 4th on the list and that I still had 3 more to make before theirs.
Again, this doesn’t seem like a huge deal, and might have just been a huge miscommunication? but I’ve seen a few other adopt artists complaining about the same person, so this may be worth adding if they leave reviews as well.
