'body a day' #2: orb

Years ago I found it. I was out in the woods, wandering around like so many times, searching, thinking, stumbling over those dark, familiar grounds at night. So soothing yet so troubling when it allowed me to dive deep inside my thoughts.

And at this depth I found it. I saw it. Or when I think back, I almost felt it more than I saw it at first. I lifted my head. And there it was. A soft glow beneath the debree of decomposing Pines. I got closer, bent down and reached out to find this little orb. Not bigger than a marble. 

It almost seemed to call for me. The little, yellowish white round like an eye looking into my soul. And without thinking I took it up and swallowed it in a moment of pure instinct.

It was still dark when I woke up. I must have lost consciousness when I took the light in. Or did I? Was it even real? I looked down on me, almost certain that there would be a glow from my chest. But there wasn't. There was just a warm feeling underneath my heart. Or at least, I wished for it to be true…

experiment with your writing, but also experiment with not writing. i bet i know more ways to not write than you do. currently i'm not writing AND doing a cartwheel
