i made some new ocs. Colleen (she/her) and Mercedes (she/her + he/him)

basically their story is that colleen is new at the office, and mercedes has been the IT guy there for 10+ years. mercedes is very used to being the only butch on staff, and doesn't fully know what to do with this new butch in town. she takes the "get out of my school" approach. colleen is very much into her immediately, and trying so hard to win her favor. which is hard, especially since she is TERRIBLE with computers, thus making mercedes' job much more difficult

more of them. I think it'd be fun if Colleen either smoked cigars or from a pipe. I also think it'd be fun if Mercedes manages to hide her face from the viewer at all times one way or another.

Mercedes speaks in analogies, similies, and metaphors a lot. She hangs around the men in the office a little too much. Her face will likely never be seen by the viewer in its entirety. He doesn't like change much, but this is not reflected in his familiarity with tech, he's very up-to-date with his knowledge. She hates AI. She's load bearing in her department and potentially the company. You'd think the mask blocking it would prevent him from putting his foot in his mouth, but you'd be wrong. The office often calls him "Benz" as a bit, but Colleen is not allowed to use this nickname. He's fine with being assumed to be a man because it's funny and occasionally beneficial. She is suffering a terrible butch deficiency and maybe one day somone will be able to fix that.

any pet peeves colleen and mercedes have about each other that eventually become things they're really fond of?

Pet peeves that become endearing is basically All Of Colleen to Mercedes. There's hardly a single thing about her that he didn't find deeply annoying initially that later became beloved traits.

The metaphors are a bit pet-peeve-y to Colleen. I think they start out making him seem mysterious and cool, but the more serious a conversation, the more metaphors Mercedes uses to explain herself. Colleen finds it annoying to have to decipher, but would eventually grow fond of the way Mercedes expresses himself like that. Calls her a poet and it pisses her off and Colleen giggles about it.
