BroadQuest 2013.
We (Sophomores) had to brace ourselves for the immense pressure for the preparation of BroadQuest and MarkStrat 2013. It was not an easy task to accomplish requirements for BroadQuest since the whole class has to work with each other professionally. Our class was divided into groups - research committee, survey committee, creatives committee, marketing committee, and the like. I was designated in the survey committee in where we had to create a survey form, find 100 students to accomplish it, and tally the results for the survey. It was my first time to put into that kind of pressure and finish that kind of requirement in a short amount of time. The main goal for BroadQuest is to create a programming and broadcasting plan for TOMCAT (Tomasian Cable TV). Fortunately, through our perseverance and team work we finished our programming and broadcasting plan on time.
Last October 3, 2013 the BroadQuest culminating event was held at the Beato Angelico Auditorium. Each section has to present their output and jurors have to judge it based on the criteria. Every output that the four sections created were unique from each other and each has their own strength and distinction from the other output. From what I remember, Strato Productions (from 2CA2) got the highest number of awards in the event. They deserved the awards since I also liked what they presented. It was simple and very comprehendable at the same time. They achieved in giving their message vividly. I also liked the presentation from Eximus productions since the presentors were professional and clear in presenting their output. Unfortunately they lacked one important aspect of their output which is the television broadcasting plan. Nontheless their presentation was really good and it put an impact to me. Ignite productions' presentation was also good but I think it was evident how nervous their group was - some stuttered though for me it's normal since it was our first time to present a major output for one of our major subjects. Our production, Prism Communications presented our output fluidly though it lacked research. For me, flaws are lessons in life. It taught us how much should we improve for the next major presentation which is MarkStrat.
I learned that everyone should commit to their tasks and manage their time well to fully achieve and surpass our own expectations. In that way, we could have done better in the presentation. It was our first time to present to now we have a fuller knowledge on how to execute this kind of requirements next time.
