November 10th, 2025 - Arcaea, SSBU

went to my uni on an off-day to partake in an SSBU weekly tourney series!!! of course, i got my ass handed to me within a few rounds, but it was a fun experience and i chatted with some nice people!! (including one who said my start.gg pfp was recognizable, eheheh,,,)

besides that, i grinded a bit of the new arcaea maps both on the way there and on the (VERY LONG) way back home... nothing special, got some progress and lost some PTT because of DA'AT being picked at random and me not being able to play the stupid chart with my stupid freezing hands on a shaky bus and no audio and GAHHHH so unfair,,,

but there was another chart i played that piqued my interest... Dialnote [FTR-8+]!!! managed to upscore it on the bus ride from MAX-10 -> MAX-5, but the full chart felt... doable . could i possibly get this...? back at home, i warmed my hands up and tried for a few more minutes, and i got so, SO CLOSE to the MAX with an unfortunate MAX-1... but things were getting uncomfortable around the house, and i decided to shelf it for tomorrow . maybe then i'll get it...

July 5th, 2025 - Arcaea, Smash Ultimate, Taiko Rhythm Festival

Hey Guys!!!! i'm at my first smash monthly!!!! and while the acc is pretty shitty (lol)... i got a Pm on I want You (ETR-9, MAX-29) with no audio here as ETR PM #17!!!!! (gee, i sure do wonder why the acc was bad...)

the matches themselves weren't as successful as i would've desired, but i technically went 1-2 in both the main and redemption brackets!!! (the first because of a DQ, the second because of a kirby ditto that was honestly really fun to play) . anyways, here's some pics of the venue itself --- it was really surreal and fun to attend regardless of my results!!!

UPDATE: turns out i also played a bit of Taiko with the taiko mutual bestie tonight as well, so here's a very funny FC on Symphony No.5 [Extreme 6*] on the Taiko Rhythm Festival Demo :]

June 2nd, 2025 - Arcaea, Smash Ultimate

the grind continues!!! and by grind i mean Academic grind as i have my calc 3 final soon and need to fully lock in for it . but hey! still sprinkled in a bit of Arcaea while i was at it. some cool stuff like a very slight shiny acc upscore on Live Fast Die Young [FTR-10], an FR on Tic! Tac! Toe! [ETR-9+], and a massive 9939 -> 9982 upscore on eden [FTR-10]!

but perhaps the most shocking and tragic score in recent memory of this game… was an insane PM upscore on Floating World (FTR-9, MAX-13 -> MAX-1). it was going so well… Too well… and the nerves were slowly but surely catching up to me until it was too late. somewhere along the way (genuinely don't know where), i hit an early Pure that doomed my run and prevented me from getting my third ever FTR MAX, and my first Lv.9 MAX in the process… we'll get 'em next time though, just you wait...

ohyeah, i also attended my third ever SSBU tourney in my grand return to the weekly local held at my university!!! got my ass whooped, but in the redemption bracket that made me stay for a while... i got a very impressive win on a Joker/Byleth player as my very first set win at the local's series!!! got destroyed by someone from the main bracket and then another Wolf player later on, but i was content with my win ^^ even if it meant having to get home at like 11 PM from just how late i had to stay to play... video below!!!

May 9th, 2025 - Arcaea, ITG, Tetris TGM3, Smash Ultimate

had a real bad day yesterday as i finally got back the first test of my calc 3 midterm only for it to be an absolutely Abysmal grade relative to my past performance and everything else in the class... all you'll see in this post is misc arcaea challenge scores, but i did try to take my mind off the grade by going around and about clubs and my friend's dorm on campus, where we played SSBU and had a ton of fun with custom stages + a sick clip at the end to finish it off!!!

later went to my school's FGC club and played in the Hokuto no Ken bracket, where i won my first and only round before having to head out to the next primary rhythm gaming destination... The Nest!!! and Iris was there too!!!! waaaaaaa!!!!! the perfect stress reliever to recover from such a conflicting day...

but make no mistake in my unrelated ventures!!! i was still here for rhythm gaming, and i'll prove it with these cool new ITG scores i grinded out a bit: notably, my first doubles clear in ITL 2025 (Datamania [DM7]), a sick 10e FEC on CyberConnect [SH8], and then an even sicker sightread 8e FEC on Worn Out Tapes [SH9]!!!! (ohyeah and i also got my s-rank status back on TGM3 Master rule :3c)

March 30th, 2025 - Arcaea, Smash Ultimate

quite literally nothing other than multi rooms today, but hey! still fun ! oh yeah, today was also the last day of the Washington Gaming Expo, and while it did end earlier as a result... i did a ton more cool stuff earlier in the day of note, including...

...placing 25th of 55 in my first ever Smash Ultimate tourney!!! it ain't much, but i was proud of it for my first time at a tourney :] i even lost to the winner of the whole thing!! (that being Mio!)
