'92 "THE XTREME" WAS FUCKING AWESOME!
The Uber Shoppe went to the extreme with our last exhibit. This truly was an amazing night. We featured such a talented and diverse group of artist and a very myriad crowd was drawn out. Quite indicative of the transforming demographics in Flabush and Brooklyn today. Hipsters hung out with thugs, and even the more clean cut gallery-goers showed face and mingled with the weirdos. I'm sure they look at art themselves. Classic 90s graffiti and bombed out canvases cozied up next to detailed impressionist work and thought provoking pop pieces. There were also a few mixed media works that personally really impressed. This exhibit is both a look at the authentic history of 90s- hundreds graffiti as well as a look towards the future of pop art and new aged urban impressionism.
Works on display through 9/4
