Phoenix, have you seen the reports that 2mblr may be an out-and-out scam? I do know that the "backup" claim is a lie - I deleted the diary app's access to my tumblr and the backup disappeared, which means all it was doing was redirecting the posts, and looking at folks' 2mblr backups, the links on the graphics are all from Tumblr. I really don’t know about them. The site has appeared and disappeared at times like Tapblr. I found it odd the honedperfection tumblr account poofed so quickly after announcing the “rescue plan”.
I deleted Diary’s permissions a few days ago, but my “backups” there (incomplete as they were) are still viewable, so I don’t know if they cached stuff and they’ll eventually poof or not.
I have not had any porn posts pop up, just the ones they posted regarding the blog being backed up to their site. While I was angry that they never announced they would do that, I completely understood I was giving them permission to access/use this blog.
It wouldn’t surprise me that someone would take advantage of the somewhat panicked search many of us are engaged in to find a new home, though.
