How long have you been roleplaying? Oh gosh, I can’t remember exactly when I started. But it had to be around 2007ish because I roleplayed on MySpace, then later FaceBook once MySpace died (RIP MySpace). But as far as Tumblr rp, I joined my first group in 2013.

What are your hobbies outside of writing? Recently I took on the hobby of planting. I’ve started growing a few things from seeds, while I try my best to remember to water my fully grown plants. But usually whenever I have free time I’m either binging something on Netflix, watching trash reality television (ie. 90 Day Fiance, Hoarders, and Jersey Shore), or playing Animal Crossing. 

Do you have any pets? I have a pittie mix and she’s the best dog in the world.

If you had a month of free time to learn to do something new, what would you choose? I’ve always wanted to learn how to play guitar. I took some lessons when I was younger, but I just didn’t click well with my teacher at the time. It’s been something I’ve always wanted to go pick back up on, but I just never have. 

Do you listen to music while you write? What are three songs on your playlist? Sometimes I do. It depends on my mood and what kind of plot I’m writing out. If it’s something deep and angsty, sometimes music can help get those emotions across the way I imagine it. I have a few different playlists I shuffle through, so it’s hard to name songs. But as for artists it’s mainly Taylor Swift, The 1975, and Halsey. 

What’s a favorite recent youtube video/channel? Shane Dawson will always be my all time favorite. But lately I’ve been super into watching the BuzzFeed Unsolved videos and I just adore Ryan and Shane. I also love CallMeKevin and every once in a while I’ll watch some of those dumb tea spill channels so I can catch up on all of the YouTube tea that’s going down. 

Tell us one random fact about you! I grew up in Pennsylvania and the town I lived in was super close to Scranton aka where The Office took place.

Who is an FC you’ve always wanted to use but haven’t yet? I’ve always wanted to play Jennifer Lawrence. 

What’s a plot you’ve always wanted to write but haven’t yet? I would love to do some kind of plot that requires frenemies or even some kind of plot where two people can’t stand one another, but end up together in the end. I’m always down to explore any kind of different connection or plot that may not have been done before. 

Do you have a favorite plot you’ve seen someone else in the group do? Not going to lie, I kind of live for @ariagrans​ and @mlaney​. You just have such a natural chemistry and it’s such an unusual ship but I stan it. 

Who on the dash makes you smile? There are so many people on the dash that I just love seeing pop up. But my babes @evanpeaters​ and @goodlourd​ will always have a special place in my heart. I also adore @ariagrans​, @flcpvgh​, and @maiswiilliams​.

What is your favorite memory in the group? I honestly lived for all of the messy drama that we had going on with Emma, Evan, and Billie. Just getting to play out all of that angst and drama with Lara and Maree was my favorite thing. 

What’s your favorite thing about your celeb(s)? Honestly, I love the fact that this group allows Emma to be played, since I know she is banned in a lot of other groups. While part of me always worries that people are going to dislike my Emma, I’m so glad that I have the freedom to write her here. She is someone that I’ve always wanted to play and she has quickly become one of my all time favorite muses to write for. As for Gigi, this is really my first time playing her in a group and I’m having such a great time figuring out little things I want to do with her and new connections to make for her. 

What’s a plot you miss? One of my friends and I came up with a backstory for our characters where they were actually related. We spent so much time combing out all the finer details of the plot and had explanations for how it affected them and why they were they way they were. It’s by far one of my favorite plots I’ve written and I miss it all the time. 

What would you love to see this group do in the future? I would love to stick around to see how much this group grows. It’s already been going 2 years strong. I’m sure it’s just the beginning!

How long have you been roleplaying? Ten years! I started in 2010 in the Glee RPC, what a time that was.

What are your hobbies outside of writing? I read off and on, depending on my mood. And I watch an insane amount of tv, usually just rewatching New Girl and Friends constantly.

Do you have any pets? Tell us about them! I do! I have a poodle/bichon mix, her name is Sadie. I’ve had her for ten years and she’s going to be 12 in August. I call her my little old lady.

If you had a month of free time to learn to do something new, what would you choose? Learn to play guitar! I’ve always wanted to, but never taken the time.

Do you listen to music while you write? What are three songs on your playlist? I always have spotify going, but I don’t have any specific songs. Right now I’m listening to a playlist called Country Gold with Unforgettable by Thomas Rhett playing.

What’s a favorite recent youtube video/channel? I don’t really watch anything on youtube other than music videos and interviews of my faves.

Tell us one random fact about you! I’m pretty sure 90% of my body is made up of Dr. Pepper, Mt. Dew, and any of the Flaming Hot chips due to how much I have of them. 

Who is an FC you’ve always wanted to use but haven’t yet? It’s been Daniel Diemer since I watched The Half of It but he has no resources yet.

What’s a plot you’ve always wanted to write but haven’t yet? I would love to do a successful poly ship one day! I got a taste of it once, but it never really went anywhere and ended very quickly.

Do you have a favorite plot you’ve seen someone else in the group do? The Vanessa in me wants to say watching Natom happen.

Who on the dash makes you smile? I love everyone in this group, you’ve all made me smile at some point. But I’ll give special shout outs to @ohlizzo @itsnataliadyr @tmhclland @ariagrans @joekcery @diannahq because they’re amazing writers but they’re also amazing admins. No one understands how much work goes into keeping a group running smoothly, but they work their asses off and I love getting to watch them thrive ic and ooc. 

What is your favorite memory in the group? Oh, man. Trying to narrow that down is so hard. I loved the earthquake/power outage event, it was a fun way to pair people up. I also loved all the Riverdale drama from last year that we were all so involved in, it was a lot of fun to write out.

What’s your favorite thing about your celeb(s)? Vanessa is so laid back but at the same time so passionate, especially for equality and BLM which I really, really love and respect so much. I personally don’t talk about BLM on my Vanessa because as a white woman, I don’t feel like it’s my place to pretend to be a woman of color talking about it. 

What’s a plot you miss? Kenari, definitely Kenari. But I also miss a lot of my old stuff on Vanessa. The clean slate is fun, but sometimes I miss the history I had built on her for nearly two years. 

What would you love to see this group do in the future? I love AU weeks, personally.

;; Write a self para of your muse meeting someone for the first time who is now very important to them. ;;

The room is filled with incessant chatter and laughter. People sharing the numerous situations they have encountered in the industry. Funny stories that always have someone chime in with something just as utterly hilarious. 

He doesn’t have much to share himself. Simply standing with a beer in his hands, brown eyes darting from one face to the other as he shuffles on his feet. One of his hands continuously running through his dark locks. 

Unlike everyone else, he doesn’t feel completely at ease. They’ve all been so welcoming, but their presence overpower his personality. Like a true Gemini, there are two sides to him. The shy and quiet persona is currently the one in control while surrounded by strangers. 

Soon enough, they’ll be with each other more than their own family. And he will be able to open himself up completely without any fear. As he takes another swing of his drink, he can feel someone looking at him and a smile breaks on his face as he catches sight of Lili. 

Like him, she stands next to everyone but is clearly less forward than the rest. She has been able to find her place in the conversation nonetheless even if, like the others, she is often interrupted by Cole. 

He is well articulated and has an opinion regarding everything. They will become good friends, he’s quite sure of it. But after such an eloquent speech, he can’t help but feel as if every word he might utter would be futile. Just like he has done for the past twenty minutes, he simply smiles and nods. 

The door behind him opens suddenly. Determined and hurried steps echoing in the now quiet room as everyone takes in the new arrival. The voice reaching his ears is rich and smoky as the person in question apologizes for the tardiness. The quiet laugh that follows suit tells him this is an occurence as far as she’s concerned. She’s apologizing, but he can discern the hidden meaning behind her words. Get used to it. 

He turns around to greet her just like everyone is doing and his whole world comes to a stop. Just like in those romantic comedies he’s so fond of, their surroundings disappear until there’s nothing left but her. He had meant to look up every cast member the previous day yet had found himself too distracted by the big news and the numerous phone calls from his family. 

Although him and Lili had done a chemistry read, the casting directors hadn’t deemed it necessary with the person who would play Veronica. He’s thankful in that moment, because he simply doesn’t know how his audition would have truly went down if he had looked like a fish gasping for air. 

He closes his mouth and awkardly looks around to make sure no one has witnessed such mortifying situation. Thankful yet again that people are just as taken by the confidence she exudes. The smile on her face never wavering as she keeps introducing herself. 

Of course he’s last. Every greeting seems to last a lifetime. He’s able to take in her mannerisms and the way she carries herself. She uses her hands. A lot. She’s excited, just as they all are -- there’s an undeniable twinkle in her dark brown eyes as she introduces herself as Veronica. And he finds her eagerness to be the most adorable thing he’s ever seen in his life. 

He’s done for. That much he’s aware of, and yet he doesn’t even know her name. There is just something about her that captivates him. She could very well be the inspiration of many love songs full of devotion and promises. Men willing to go down on their knees just for her attention. 

She finally reaches him and he hopes with every fiber of his being he’s not the kind of book she can read. As she moves before him, he suddenly realizes just how small she is. The height difference is striking and a wide grin find its way on his features. One she matches instantly. 

Her lips, supple and inviting, move. A word flows past them like a sweet melody. And like the tattoo on his shoulder, her name is now engraved forever.

We hope you’ve enjoyed our first week of celebrations! Now comes the second part…the AU week! From now until June 1st! 

During this week, plot with anyone you want basically….anything you want! It can be future, supernatural, past, even present day but AU…the sky is the limit! 
You could even use the plot of a movie and replace the main characters with the celebs, really, it’s all up to you.

A few guidelines to follow : - Tag your AU posts with 2yearsofhwlAU - Use a title where you specify the two characters involved as well as AU so that it is clear this is an AU post - Please make sure to still interact normally so that those deciding to opt out of the AU week can still interact with you - In the interest of avoiding confusion, we're not allowing open AU starters and anything posted in the #hwlstart tag should be considered a "normal," non-AU post.

Our celebrations is still going! Tonight we ask you to glamour up!

While our celebs cannot have a proper Met Gala this year, what about they show us what they would have worn if they could have gone? Taking the theme that was supposed to be this year’s “About Time: Fashion and Duration” show us what you think your celebs would have worn! You can tag it with “hwlandmetgala”.

Hello there everyone! Our celebrations continue and today we want to get to know your characters a little more. We’re a group of writers, so why not put our characters in different situations and write about it? This is completely optional, but we’d love to read a few written paragraphs about your muse or from your muses POV. Below you’ll find a list of several writing prompts that will show us something about your muse. They don’t have to be long at all, just pick what sounds fun for you and your muse. You can do as many prompts as you like on how many characters you like. 

So here’s the list:

Write a self para about an event in your muses past that defined them or had an impact on them.

Your muse is super late to an important meeting, include describing their feelings and emotions on their way to said meeting. How do they handle the situation?

Your muse is meeting a stranger and this stranger brings out the worst in them? What happens? What is something we get to see about your muse?

If your character were an animal, what animal would they be and why? Write a list of traits and how the character expresses them through actions.

Your muse sits down for a cup of coffee with your grandma and she spins out an amazing tale. Write the scene.

Antique stores are full of items that say different things to different people. Take your character into an antique store. Write a paragraph on what item they are most attracted to and why.

List three bad things that could happen to your muse. Pick the worst one and sketch out how it would change their lives and the plots you have going on right now. 

Write a paragraph about three things your character always has with them and why they matter. 

Write a self para of your muse meeting someone for the first time who is now very important to them.
