It’s Lit(erature)|| AU WEEK
As Alexandra pushed the elevator button for the eighth floor of the dormitory building, she was wondering, again, why on Earth she was even bothering wasting her time. But she had no other way of contacting the boy she had been tutoring since the beginning of the semester. Her repeated emails had gotten nowhere, and she had never gotten his phone number. They met in the same spot every single session, and it wasn’t like him to be late. The only choice she had was to visit him in his room. He had only mentioned where he lived once, giving the name of a building and a floor number, and Alexandra had folded it away in her brain. It came in handy now, though only to an extent. She didn’t know what room he was in, and she still had to quietly creep around the hallway of closed doors and take a look at the door decs to find a door that bore his name and pray that no one came out of their rooms to question the newcomer.
Finally, at the end of the hall near the stairs, a popcorn bucket and green pencil told her that she had found the right room. Hesitantly, she approached it. Seriously, why was she wasting her time? It wasn’t her grade at risk. He could be as late as he wanted to their session, or not even show up. She didn’t really care. But, she reminded herself, their professor was counting on her to at least try. And Alexandra didn’t like disappointing professors. Plus, he was at least trying to improve his grade. That much she could say. She adjusted the strap on her backpack, stepping fully to the door and knocking on it sharply. “Evan? Are you okay in there? It’s Alexandra. You’re uhm...you never showed up to the library?” @evanpeaters
