ahhhh fuck i miss her
night <3
Hello 911? I had a violent nightmare where someone’s hands got cut off, make it stop
I hold unto her,
one arm wrapped around her waist;
she cradles into me,
her warmth surrounding
as she breathes deep.
There's a dog barking
a few houses down,
a honk, a motorbike.
The sound of a backdoor
as it opens and closes,
light voices shushing.
I brush a stray
from the side of her face -
she stirs, leaning into my hand.
She's so fragile.
I've forgotten her name,
two hours after sunrinse
I'll have forgotten her face.
Only ghosts of tender touches
sliding down my shoulder blades,
apologetic fingertips
brushing by my scars,
asking questions I'll never answer.
Remnants of the warmth
on my hand from where I brought her
to her peak, head thrown back,
apologetic touches forgotten as
her nails dig into my arm.
Heaving chest against my own,
the slick sweat uniting us -
coallesed into one.
Earlier,
she had told me my voice
was akin to the sound
of an oncoming train
and I faltered in asking
if it was the transience or
the wreckage that convinced her
to stay.
The breeze blows through
the opened window,
tickling goosebumps unto her skin,
inviting me to the empty streets.
Wet asphalt and morning dew
fills this hollow room,
shaking the bed like a raft
and taking with it any remnants
of my conviction.
She is captivating,
it is why I must leave her come morning.
Her eyes too much like anvils,
her voice too much like a compass
leading me towards her safety-net arms.
Barking resumes, followed
by an opening door, a muffled voice; shouting, a whimpering dog.
Another car drives by the wet street outside, its headlights gleaming
through the window.
I glance at her as she breathes in,
corner lip twitching
just ever so
brief -
I close my eyes,
allow myself to be
engulfed in her warmth.
It s 3:59, I need to go to bed.
I am. SHIT
Yknow I was falling asleep like 4 hours ago whered that exhaustion go
