Remember the time I arrived on your doorstep, soaked to my bones because the torrential downpour wasn't enough to make me take the time, take the effort, to reach into my bag and get my umbrella? Remember how I asked for a towel with my words but used my eyes, my empty hands, to ask why you didn't love me? Two and a half months later there was more finality in the goodbye I never said than there ever was heart in the years we kept tied together with our friendship. I wish the rain didn't remind me of how much I miss you.
