The Federal Army of Arcul has used this version of the M16A1 to fight wars for about thirty years and only retired it in the late 1990s. In the early 80s, the rifles were upgraded with barrels that were thicker past the hand-guard, which had a 1:9 inch twist so they could use both M193 or SS109 rounds fed from STANAG magazines. Towards the late 80s the stocks were swapped out for models with DuPont Zytel glass-filled thermoset polymers for the handguard and stock. Since then almost no changes were made till the rifles were replaced in service with brand new M16A4s in 2001, sending the FAA M-16B1s to the reserves and surplus warehouses. SWM Inc has been given the rights to be a middle man between the FAA and the people of the world, a right that has been asked more many times over the past year. The rifles are just the same as the day they were made from 7075 aluminum alloy, which can't rust like steel and is lighter; along with plastics that are cheap while being much more durable then wood or sheet-metal. They were sealed in metal containers, which were put in warehouses in the event of a homeland invasion onto Arucl soil. They manage to be in very good condition, at a very good price because of their number, materials and age, and of very good quality for the time they were made. Today they are a great value and even the most troubled nations, can at least issue them to their cream of their crop. A weapon like this would be popular with special and elite forces, who will be fascinated to learn the weapon is much more reliable then rumored.
