A year ago today, you passed away. You didn’t deserve anything that happened to you, you were the bravest girl in the world, such a beautiful girl, so young, and so talented at what you loved most, figure skating. Our little snow angel as your mum loved to call you. I hated to see you so ill, I'm glad you’re in a better place now, where you don’t have to suffer any more. We met in a strange way and it was surprising how close our families got. We went round your house so much that summer. Even though it was all those years ago, I’m pretty sure I remember the exact route to your house. We loved your company and I remember a few things I’ll never forget like the secret pathway from your back garden onto the red way behind, jumping off the roof of your extension onto your trampoline, how you did it so freely but it took me ages to be able to find the courage, when we were out and asked to use that lady’s toilet and I was so scared we were going to get kidnapped but you were sure we wouldn’t tehe. I’ll always remember my favourite memory of us, that day we delivered all those leaflets in the most rain we’d ever seen, we got absolutely drenched! I wish you never moved away so we could have been closer to you for longer, it was never long enough. And I never say anything but I think about you all the time, I cried so much when you left, and I can’t believe it’s been an entire year. I’ll never forget you, rest in peace Edyn.
