Bitter Soup
A soup makes me gag. I choke it down anyway, Preferring not to waste food. I knuckle through the discomfort Even as my stomach unsettles. I am unsure if it is resilience or stubbornness that carries me through, But I cannot point to a purpose behind my actions. I am unsure which is bitterer; The soup or the realisation.
