Captain of the Neptune's Mask, a ship built for long distances and large crew sizes, Prosopeio travels the Grand Line, not for treasure, but just for adventure. Yet to step foot in the new world, the crew of Neptune's Mask is more of a traveling performance troupe, the ship able to transform itself into a floating theater so they can perform anytime, anywhere. The crew is made up of a ragtag bunch, from Magicians, jugglers, and other circus style performers to actors, singers, musicians and the like. And at the helm, the enigmatic Prosopeio leads them on merry quests to follow random leads or learn of the newest tales of passing by pirates and marines of interest. Or late, he has been hearing many a tale of the Strawhat Pirates, and quite a few ports of call cry for performances based on their adventures.
After hearing so much of them and even putting on sold out shows based on some of their deeds, it has piqued the masked pirate's interest... after all, out of all the pirates of 'That Generation', Monkey D Luffy and his ilk's reputation and deeds have intrigued him the most.
Of course, one does not travel the grand Line without being able to defend one's self... Any who dare impede the progress of the Neptune's Mask soon learn that there are many faces hiding beneath... and the skills all the artists and performers utilize in their acts take a rather violent turn when focused on repelling would be invaders.
While technically not a pirate, Prosopeio and his crew are no friend of the Marines either, keeping a neutral stance in order to perform for all. Though the Marines have attempted to quiet some of his performances that show Pirates in a positive light, putting them on thin ice with Prosopeio.
