30 Day Blacklist Challenge

Day #30 : Post a photo(s) of you preparing for the upcoming episode and share what you are looking forward to for this episode.

Last day of the challenge already. The 30 Days went quickly.

I’m not going to post a photo but honestly I have given up on the idea that you can be prepared for an episode of the Blacklist. :’) Either you’re surprised in a good way, either you want to throw something at your tv at the end of the episode.

Besides I’m only going to see the episode tomorrow morning because I live in France and I won’t be watching live. So I’ll be preparing for the episode  by getting a good night of sleep.

The promo doesn’t make me think that I’m going to enjoy the episode very much. But I’m trying not to think about it too much because we all know that promo can be deceiving.

I’m just really hoping that the Liz/Tom scene is not what it looks like.

And I’m looking forward to seeing Tom get his ass kicked. (at least I can hope right ? But seriously if it doesn’t happen before season 2 ends I’ll be pissed)

Day #28 : Share the reason you are proud to be apart of the Blacklist fandom ?

This is one of the question I have been looking forward to answering :)

I’ve already said that in another post but this is the first time I have been this involved in a fandom. I have watched other shows but I have always been more of a quiet member or I limited myself to speaking with french fans. The Blacklist made me join Tumblr thus making me discover what it really was to be fully part of the fandom.

I like this fandom because I feel like this is a much more mature fandom than others I’ve seen. Not everyone agrees and that’s perfectly normal but I have seen much less hate than in the Glee or OUAT fandom for instance. In the almost 3 month I’ve been on Tumblr I have rarely seen hate. Most people have healthy debates without resorting to insults (towards other fans or actors) and that’s pretty nice.

I’m proud to be part of this fandom because people are so passionate about the show. There are so many great theories and analysis, it’s almost overwhelming sometimes because I would never be able to write like that. Not to mention that this fandom is also crazy talented.

And most importantly people are just really really nice. I remember one of my first post was about shipping Lizzington. And the response was amazing. People in the BL fandom are really welcoming. I haven’t really talked with a lot of you by ask or fanmail (mostly because I’m shy and I’ll probably never initiate the conversation by sending a message) but I’ve responded to posts and people have responded to my posts and it always leaves me with this positive feeling.

And it’s nice to be able to fangirl without people thinking you’re crazy ;)

Day #27 : Share your favorite character entrance.

I have two.

Red of course. We’re all wondering who the guy is, he walks into the FBI like he owns the place and then you learn he’s actually on the wanted list. That’s pretty badass. I also really liked Meera’s entrance. All the sass when she says “I guess we’ll find out”. I instantly liked her character.

Day #26 : What was your least liked episode on the Blacklist ?

There’s not one episode that I really hate.

My least liked episode though is probably one from season 2.

I remember being disappointed by The Kenyon Family because with the promo and the pictures it looked like a great episode and I just ended up being bored. Like everything was rushed or something. I can’t even really remember one scene which stands out from the rest of the episode.

Even the Major and it’s like a recap episode was less boring for me. There were still some great scenes that I remember well like Lizzie’s “Wow I suck” monologue and the last scene with Red and Dembe.

So yeah I’d say the Kenyon Family.

Day #25 : What was your favorite episode on the Blacklist ?

2x14 - T. Earl King VI 

This episode was so, so great.

The blacklister of the week was well done. The Kings, especially the father, were creepy as hell. I loved the intrigue.

But it was, first and foremost, a goldmine for any Lizzington shipper. The auction, Liz desperate to save Red, Red whispering “Lizzie” just before he dies (or in that case just before the moment h thinks he’s going to die), the very emotional last scene in the car between the two of them. The feels are almost too much just talking about it.

James Spader and Megan Boone were both amazing (also they were both gorgeous). Their acting was on point, I was brought to tears several times during the episode. Yeah definitely my favorite. It is however followed closely by Anslo Garrick 1 & 2 as well as Luther Braxton 1 & 2. Berlin 1 & 2 were also great.

Day #24 : Share a theory or prediction on what you believe will happen in the upcoming episode of the Blacklist.

Uh I’m not really good at theorizing.

I have seen the promo and I didn’t really like what I saw. (Samar shooting at Dember and Liz hugging Tom)

The only thing I can say for sure is that we need to hang in there. The next 3 episodes are probably going to be very tense. Lots of Lizzington angst for the shippers too.

Yeah I suck at this whole having theories thing. Especially so because at this point, with only 3 episodes left, I’m waiting for big surprises and some game-changing stuff.

Today’s the day. Hiatus is over !

Day #23 : Name your favorite friendship on the show.

Red and Dembe of course.

Dembe is one of the few people that Red cares about. The scene where Red explains Dembe’s backstory gets to me everytime.

And even if Dembe doesn’t necessarily approve of Red’s action he will always be loyal to him.

Red’s friendship with Dembe allows us to see the softer side of Red. It allows us to see that he’s more human than we think.

Ugh I just love these two very much.

20th day of hiatus

Day #22 : Share your favorite song that was used as on the seasons soundtrack

Tough question. There are so many good songs in the Blacklist, it’s one of the reasons I love the show.

I’m going to choose Blood on my name by The Wright Brothers.

I have listened to this song at least a hundred times. Plus I love the scene in which it plays so much (Red being all badass walking throuh a prison to save Lizzie ? I couldn’t ask for something more perfect)
