12–Friends

What does friendship mean or look like to your character? What’s the best way to keep a friendship with your character? Close friendships are a lot like family to Dorothy. They’re the people who have been there for her and vice versa. The best way to keep a friendship with her is just continuing to be a good person to her & her family and knowing that she will be a good person to you too.

Does your character have a lot of friends or few friends? She has a lot of friends but a handful of them are also family to her. 

Who are your character’s closest friends? Ryan ( @ryan-andersen ), Alex ( @alex-temple ), Daina ( @drdaina ), Lola ( @supermomlola ), Charlie ( @charlotte-roy ), Ari ( @ari0estrada ), Eric ( @nerdyeric ), Henna ( @hennathroughthelens ) & Ella ( @ellatheprotestor )

Do they trust others easily, with difficulty or not at all? It’s easy to earn and for her to give her trust to others but if she’s given a reason not to trust you, it’s harder to earn that back.

What is their favorite thing to do with their closest friends? Dorothy is pretty open to anything that allows her to spend time with her friends, whether that’s going to a bar for a drink or 2, karaoke, grabbing a bite to eat, hanging out at their home or hers, going to the movies, seeing a musical/play, shopping, hanging out at a park... any time with a friend is a great time for her.

Do they have non-best friends that they would do anything for? If she considers you a friend, she’s likely to do all she’s capable of for you.

How might their friends best describe them? Friendly & caring.

Are they a reliable friend to have? Absolutely!

How have they been known to settle fights with their best friend(s)? She gets really ticked off and typically doesn’t leave anything unsaid--whether that’s in the heat of the moment or they come back to talk later. But she’ll usually try to talk things out later--whether that’s her coming to them or waiting for them to take that initiative.

What does friendship mean or look like to your character? What’s the best way to keep a friendship with your character? Honesty, trust, consideration, and understanding/respect for his career, the privacy, demands and abnormal circumstances that come with his celebrity

Does your character have a lot of friends or few friends? He can count the number of close friends on his hand and has several other, more casual friends.

Who are your character’s closest friends? In addition to people on his music team, Marcus ( @yourmomsamilf ) & Charlie ( @charlotte-roy ), but he would also say he has good friendships with Mack ( @backtothemack ), Surge ( @surge-rodriguez ) & Henna ( @hennathroughthelens ) as well

Do they trust others easily, with difficulty or not at all? He’s been too trusting of others and is becoming less trusting--something he was often warned about throughout the rise of success in his career.

What is their favorite thing to do with their closest friends? He likes chilling with his friends. Usually with Marcus & it’s drinking, eating/getting food, watching movies, playing video games or a combination of the 4. He’ll hang at parties and weddings, and play video games with Henna, and he’ll hang around Surge if they’re at the same events/weddings, and he invites Surge and some of his music friends to card games.

Do they have non-best friends that they would do anything for? No, certainly not ‘anything’ but he’s been a pretty generous and giving person to people he only casually knows. 

How might their friends best describe them? Probably goofy, a bit childish, kind, a glutton and a lovable ass

Are they a reliable friend to have? Very.

Your character is playing Monopoly: which game piece does your character pick, and which piece do they know their friends will pick? Mason = the money bag | Marcus = racecar, Charlie = top hat, Mack = battleship, Surge = iron, Henna = Scottie dog

How have they been known to settle fights with their best friend(s)? Space and talking things out later.

9–This or That: Lifestyle preferences

Go out on the town often or mostly a home body?

Cooking at home or going out to eat? Granted he does like to cook at home but he’s more likely to eat out.

Generally proud or generally humble? Both. He’s proud of his accomplishments and when others do things that make him proud, he’ll gladly express it. And he'll joke about being prideful but he is a truly humble person.

Generally literal or generally sarcastic? Extremely.

Introvert or extrovert?

Driver or passenger? Most of the time he ends up being a passenger unless he’s out doing casual or personal matters.

Early bird or night owl?

Direct or passive aggressive with discord?

More inclined to giving attention or getting attention? He certainly prefers to give it but taking what he does for a living into account and how many people know him vs. the opposite, he’s more likely to get it.

A life of simplicity or a life of luxury? He’s lived both lives and having lived a life of simplicity makes him not want to take the life of luxury he has for granted.

Enjoys surprises or prefers knowing?

3 nights under the stars or 3 nights in a hotel room? Both but he’s spent more time in hotel rooms.

Patient or impatient overall?

Observant or oblivious overall? Granted, this is usually canceled out when his impulses come into play.

Generally callous or generally nurturing?

Safe or adventurous?

More of a thinker or more of a feeler?

Showers or baths? But he’ll take the occasional soak in the tub.

Cats or dogs for pets?

7–Adolescence

Did they ever attend public school, private school, or were they home schooled? Mason attended public schools his entire life.

Academically, how were they in school? He did pretty well. Sometimes he slacked off but his moms were stern about him putting his best foot forward with any and everything he did.

Were they more shy, outgoing, or somewhere in the middle? Incredibly outgoing. He still is but he has to be a little more careful with who he trusts and has been learning that the hard way lately.

Have they learned to drive? When did they get their license? He has, yes. His mom taught him, and he got his license at 17.

Where was their favorite place to go after school? He would go to friends’ houses, or have friends over at his house. Or be wherever band practice or other practice/rehearsals were held.

Did they ever go to parties? Yes, often.

Were they bullied? No.

Had they ever been called a teacher’s pet? Not even close. He was respectful most of the time but very much a class clown too.

If placed in a clique, where would they fall (jock, loner, nerd, band geek, etc.)? He was pretty popular for being outgoing, athletic/on the swim team, involved with stage productions and also having his cover band and a notorious prankster. I’d say he was a floater because of the various activities he was involved in and him having various friends as as result.

27–Religion, Spirituality & Traditions

Are they religious? If so, what religion(s) do they practice? He is, somewhat. He was raised in a Free Methodist Christian home & church.

Are they devout, casual, or fleeting in their beliefs? Mason’s mostly casual in his beliefs.

Would they consider themselves spiritual? Very. He would consider himself more spiritual than religious even though he values a great deal of his beliefs.

Would they consider themselves open-minded and accepting of others beliefs or lack thereof? He would, yes.

Where would they say they acquired their core beliefs/morals from? His moms and his church/pastor. His pastor has put more emphasis on their faith being less of a ‘religion’ and more of a relationship with God/Christ, and that’s resonated with Mason.

Do they have any traditions (picnics, holidays, etc.) that they put on or participate in? On Easter Sunday after the church service, Mason and his family (on his Mama’s side) usually have a big Sunday dinner. It’s one of the few times a year where he sees his mama’s side of the family (excluding his uncle whom he sees more often than that). He and his moms also tend to do themed Halloween costumes each year, whether they’re all in New York together or not. And at Christmas, his moms used to try and plan short vacations.

If so, what are they? Who started them? His mama’s family started the Easter dinner tradition, and Mason’s moms started the Halloween costume themes from when he was a baby. And his mama spurred the Christmas travels.

26–Funny Bone:

Describe your character’s sense of humor (dry, corny, sarcastic, cynical, high-brow, bathroom, etc.): Dry and some slapstick.

Tell about the most embarrassing thing that has happened to your character: If asked, he would probably tell of his time during Basic in the Navy when he and his Division had to make obnoxious siren noises (”Wee-woo! Wee-woo!”) while waving their hands above their head anytime any of them needed to use the bathroom. This was thanks to 1 recruit incorrectly, inappropriately and urgently addressing an RDC (Recruit Division Commander) about their need to use the toilet. So basically, everyone would know whenever he or someone from his Division was going to the bathroom.

Does your character like to tell jokes? Do they like to hear jokes? He doesn’t really ‘like’ to tell them, and sometimes he doesn’t mind hearing them. 

What is your character’s favorite comedy (TV or film)  Hook & Mrs. Doubtfire.

Does your character have a favorite comedian/comedienne? If so, who? Robin Williams.

Is your character a prankster? If so, what is the most memorable prank they have been a part of? He is not a prankster. His birthdate and some attempted pranks from the few who know it have made him pretty averse to pranking.

Describe your character’s authentic laugh (the pitch, volume, gestures they do, etc.): Levi tends to grin pretty wide (for him) when he laughs and he the sound is a bit more like repeats of his chuckles--low, not very loud, and usually there are some head shakes with it.

25–Finances & Assets

Is your character considered wealthy/affluent? No.

How did they come into their finances or lack thereof (inheritance, debt, their own income, the lottery, etc.)? Working in his late teens and following his discharge; his career in the military and minor income as a veteran, as well as managing his father’s finances and assets being the Price patriarch’s conservator. Some of Gia’s games gave him some additional money too.

Have they ever borrowed money from a friend/family member? There was a very brief time in between his discharge from the hospital and moving into his loft where he borrowed some money from his sister, Jemma and her husband, but he promptly paid them back after sorting out his own finances.

Would they consider themselves frugal, a moderate spender or a big spender? Very frugal.

What is the most expensive thing that they own? The singularly most expensive thing he owns would be his 2 prosthetic legs, each of which costs over $10,000 to purchase and roughly that much when replacing them.

Have they ever written a check? Yes. Every month for paying some bills.

Do they own a debit card? A credit card?   He owns both.

Do they keep a wallet on them? Always.

12–Friends

What does friendship mean or look like to your character? What’s the best way to keep a friendship with your character? Honesty, trust, and reasonable consideration for the others (not being too pushy, exhibiting a bit of selflessness or empathy at the very least) are the best ways to maintain friendship with Levi. On a slightly selfish note for him, recognizing his temperament and not overwhelming him are massively helpful to him too, in a friend. If a friend’s energy/mania is constantly at a 10 around him, for example, that’s very difficult for him to be around for long. 

Does your character have a lot of friends or few friends? Few friends.

Who are your character’s closest friends? Aside from his wife? Christian ( @christian-sage ), Micah, Mitch, Gage & Damian 

Do they trust others easily, with difficulty or not at all? With difficulty and most of the time, not at all.

What is their favorite thing to do with their closest friends? Usually he’ll grab a beer or a bite to eat with his friends, maybe shoot pool. It isn’t necessarily his “favorite” thing to do but sometimes he’ll help out his military friends at the VA center as well.

Do they have non-best friends that they would do anything for? No.

How might their friends best describe them? Probably quiet, very serious but a good guy.

Are they a reliable friend to have? Absolutely. He may not necessarily be the easiest friend to make since he’s typically not the warmest person, but he is a very authentic and loyal friend to have.

Your character is playing Monopoly: which game piece does your character pick, and which piece do they know their friends will pick? Going off of the old/some of the original pieces, he’d probably pick: the cannon for himself, the racecar for Christian, the Scotty dog for Micah, the battleship for Gage & the 

How have they been known to settle fights with their best friend(s)? It depends on the friend and the fight. If it’s verbal, he might argue but only to an extent. Most of the time, his answers become terse/clipped meaning he’s going to back off and shut down/withdraw very soon. He hasn’t been in a physical fight with a close friend yet and that’s a fortunate thing for a few reasons, not the least of which being that he tends to black out when he gets far into physical fights.
