"I feel like I actually have something to say now, rather than just singing a song somebody else had written for me. All the fans have grown with us as solo artists so I'm happy to kind of be at the age where I can start to say a little bit more and you know, if my music helps one person who went through what I went through or any of those things really, I think that's my job and that's what I wanna do, to create those memories so that's kind of the next move for me really."

Ich wünsche mich an einen Ort, der im Unbekannten liegt.

Wo es keine Menschenmenge gibt, die sich durch die Straßen schiebt;

Wo es keine Macht gibt, die einen in bestimmte Denk- und Handlungsmuster schiebt;

Wo es keine Intelligenz gibt, die einen in eine Schublade schiebt;

Sondern vielleicht nur eine Schubkarre, die ich schiebe.

Ein Garten, so groß, wie das Auge reicht. Die Sonne streichelt meinen Rücken und wärmt mich ganz sanft. Der Tau auf den Blättern, es riecht so frisch und vielleicht wird es noch regnen......Ein Regenbogen erstrahlt, wie ein verheißungsvolles Zeichen.

Behutsam setze ich ein Pflänzchen in die Erde während ich mich nach diesem Ort des Friedens sehne.

"I don't really know if I knew what I signed up for when I started and I've been doing my job since I was 14 years old which I've been very lucky to hold the job for that long which is great but I do think it definitely left scars on me. You have to unpack a lot of stuff before you start this job. I wouldn't change a thing now that I am where I am, I've kind of made my own sense of why I ended up at this place. And like I said, it definitely gave me something to say and if I can help anybody out in my position, not so much on the fame side but the things that happened to me before and kind of stop that from happening to somebody else, that would be my life's dream. It's a great life and I have a lot of gratitude (...) but there was definitely low moments that I'll never minimize. It's just about having the right people around you at the right time and I was lucky to have people to watch my back when I was at my worst place and help me get the help that I need and not everybody is that lucky so, I'm double grateful to be on the other side of it now and to have something to say and and like I said, it might change somebody's life."

"I think, you know, for me as an emerging solo artist coming out of the band, it was just easier to have somebody else on the stage. I think I kind of doubted myself for a long time so I would always collaborate with other artists because I didn't really believe in myself but I think now that I kind of had some time away, I don't think I have one collaboration on my next album actually. I'm actually quite excited to kind of put my own music out but it was a lovely time to go around and do this sort of, you know, collaboration album. I really enjoyed it."

"I didn't know how ready I was to step out on my own, I didn't know how much I was gonna enjoy that [being a solo artist] because all the enjoyment came from being with those boys. But you know, now that I kind of corrected those wrongs in my life and how I thought about myself, I feel like I'm much more empowered to step out on a stage and to make the right music and at least have a message or something to say."
