Inktober Day 3 - Ancient Tree

Some of the forests in Telania are rumoured to be older than memory itself, guarded by ancient forest spirits and the forest god Rowan. Many believe the oldest and largest trees deepest in the forests would be homes to such spirits, offerings or shrines would sometimes be set up for them.

I wanted to try a one-brush, painty/minimalist look. Turned out ugly but ey D: Next one will be better.

I certainly love how the deities in Arvenia aren’t abstract and aetheric forces but actual, living things people interact with. Also, a god of death who isn’t the bad guy. Just another character with its own intentions (and power ofc, still a god.)

I have so much more lore to share to every single piece i do but argh.. Nice challenge to put it in limited space and keep it at least 3/10 worth to read (?)

Another shitty sketch, but with lore i like and came up with while reading through my bf’s notes on his pnp universe. 

I like how the icicles turned out, but they don’T really fit and the whole thing is oddly flat and too noisy... But i regard it as another stepstone to better art. :’) Never give up!
