My first day of training was super fun and mellow, with the occasional rush of course. Being at such an upscale place makes me feel like I have to straighten up my posture and shine my lovely ass smile. My trainer Gary is so freaking good looking, with eyes that just give you this serene feeling when you look into them, all seabreezy blue and shit. My co-workers are awesome and funny, and always help me out as much as possible, every interaction starting off with "hey new guy". Seeing so much steak/ribs/lobster being shoved in and out of the control makes my mouth water so much. Bussing is quite fun! And damn, the tips the servers make are immenseeeee, and busser tips are also cool. It's not much compared to the personal tips servers get (we only get 3% tips of total sales), but we get tipped off by each server and our bartender, which remarkably is a lot. Gary took him over 120 JUST from tips alone yesterday!
Closing is a helluva lot of work to do, but hey, that's the job. I'm already loving it here! I even got my schedule already! Mon/Wed opening, and saturday closing! I really do wonder what my schedule at the creperie is after I get orientation there too wooo.
