I’m sure you’re asked this often but why’d you choose 336 BC?
I think 336 BC was a really important year in the history of Western Civilization, when Alexander became king of Macedonia after his father Phillip was assassinated. For tumblr purposes though, it makes it obvious (hopefully) that this is a history blog.

But do any nations still use them for training, and if not, doesn’t that say something about their perceived effectiveness?
I don't know if any modern military's use non-firing training rifles today. But I do believe that they use dry firing practice in the military, and I do know that many military's use .22 training rifles. Hopefully some of the servicemen and women who follow my blog can answer this better.

There’s also no reason for this comment.

And you wouldn’t have to pass all the way through the digestive system, because the undigestable parts of your carcass get spit out.
and then you become a whole lot of fun to dissect. there aren't really disadvantages besides the dying itself. any small rodents reading this, take heed
re: "the tumble 'activity' chart is just one more graphic reference" - and yet sometimes it looks like boobs. Which makes me suspicious that it's actually a clever form of subliminal advertising.
I'm sure you're right. Boobs seem to go hand in hand with the penis .
