2013 Favorites: 36" Chain - #RunTheJewels

Hands down my favorite song to rap all year. Separate post for this album is OVERDUE! Great music video. Gratuitous violence, great rapping and two MCs really enjoying the opportunity to make brilliant art. So much great shit to say about this group. killermikegto and el-p are therealrunthejewels. If you haven't seen me going batshit crazy over their music, you haven't looked hard enough. Instant classic for me, not making it law or anything. I just haven't gone nuts over an album in a while. Last albums I loved this much were undun by The Roots and R.A.P. Music by Killer Mike. Gotta love this Hip Hop shit, man.

Is that... Is that Andrew WK!? Mad. Anyway, this is Run The Jewels. I'm sure a few of you already know about this lot as they dropped their debut album in June earlier this year. I've only really just been put on to them and I'm in that teething out stage of trying to decide whether I'm really applauding this work or not but what do you guys think? I am intrigued.
