Yesterday - Dirty Money ft. Chris Brown Long time no see for the people who enjoy the video portion of #GoddessCruRadio. This song just started playing on my iPod, then I realized, I really liked it. Chris sounds believably tortured by the haunting past relationship being described. On another note: I have not fucked with Chris' actions and decisions over the years at all. I think he needs to sober up and see a therapist, but that's just me. Anyway, Puff does just enough to show you this is not a Chris Brown song, and it works. I feel the angst on this record. We can pour so much of ourselves into toxic relationships, that we want them to go on just so we keep feeling something at all. Having recently experienced my heart shattering into a million jagged pieces, I didn't prolong the pain and keep wanting this person to hurt me. You have to draw the line. Eventually, one is drawn and they realize staying is going to keep hurting. We might not get it right on the first try, but we owe ourselves that much to keep trying to break free of whatever is holding us hostage in loveless relationships. Or relationships where it's just not enough to stay because you love that person. Just my opinion. Enjoy the video.
