they will fledge soon!

They'll be working on their flapping muscles soon as they lose the last of their baby down. In a week or two, we will start to see some fledging!
there was a BIRD FIGHT!!!!
a male arrived, only for one of the eyasses to attack him! mom arrived, they bowed to each other the way male and female adults do, male left, mom left shortly after, lots of agitated noises
I'm thinking the male was an intruder

one eyas spotted self-feeding! ...proceeded to leave the rest of the bird in the gutter. damn kids
considering the size and color, I am guessing the victim was a cockatoo. wild, of course, since this is australia
