For some reason, this month has been the most mind-bending exciting yet terrifying month so far making her wonder about how the rest of the year will go. The fact she managed to get the role on S-POP as host completely threw her wondering what were they thinking about hiring her to the announcement about Sphere wanting pure girls to audition due to debut project coming meaning debut may be coming sooner than expected. Finally, this evaluation is certainly something she is not good at all so her only best bet is team up with someone who’s great at creating choreography or arranging music. Thankfully, she came up with the master plan of capturing her precious Naeun to work alongside since she is a pretty amazing dancer and knows how to create choreography. The two trainees since Naeun was planning on auditioning for the sphere girls they decided they show their friendship & cuteness in this very performance to prove that she would be the perfect candidate since Minhee is all about helping her friends out and would love it if Naeun ends up joining the sphere girls she would be perfect addition. 

Minhee had a lot of fun choosing the song and outfits for them to wear for their performance, the song was cute along with the bouncy choreography created by Naeun. The older trainee really got into the performance feeling the music run through her veins as she sings this cheesy love pop song while making sure to remember to breathe at the right times to achieve the best stability in her vocal performance since this evaluation would also prove that not only she got really good sense of fashion but also she is solid performer and not only do confident sassy songs but also embrace the aegyo be cute for the audience. The main thing she liked about the choreography the fact the girls playfully point at each other showing their friendship in the performance on top of everything else. After the performance she felt very proud and energised since Naeun energy & dance skills made it look so simple yet beautiful she couldn’t be prouder of her friend especially the fact the choreography came out of her brain. At times she wishes she would be able to do such things yet creativity has never been Minhee strongest suit.

Foxes are assholes

There was a human around.

It lived with another, smaller one in the house close by.

Both were loud and the usual amount of obnoxious.

The smaller one always waved at him and sometimes tried to chase him. It was fine, she was young.

The taller woman sometimes spotted him and made a scrunched up face while he looked at the state of the tree roots.

There was sometimes the screaming of a child. The mother drove a car around. They felled some trees, they ‘cultivated’ new plants in the wrong places…

Still, it was manageable. Really.

 But then… the mother left food and drink out.

…

Which was very stupid for several reasons.

So, he had to intervene. Because the little one was rather vulnerable.

After clearing the food bowl and emptying the water bowl, he walked into the house, nosing the balcony door open again. It was… a human abode.

The room he stepped into was very open, the walls made of glass.

There was a direct connection to the food room.

It was clean and well taken care of. A good thing.

He jumped on the counter and rolled into a ball.

  “...you can't stay, bud. This is my house, and foxes are supposed to live outside,” a female voice said.

When he opened one eye, he saw her in the process of looking around for a way to get him out. He supposed.

Yawning, he got up, stretched, and jumped further up, on the fridge. And crossed his front legs, paws on the edge. And looked down.

After a bit of more rummaging, she noticed he was not on his original place, and looked up, eyes narrowing at him: “... ... ... you're a little asshole, aren't you”

He yawned.

She frowned up at the fox, shaking her head: “...fine. But no more food.”

The fox laid his head down. His lids lowered. And looked very much amused.

 After a while – brooms had been moved against him, he was not bothered much, really, simply dodging or kicking it away – he got up and left the house again, making sure to know which window was easily reached.

And went to find an… ‘animal shampoo’. It was a bit degrading, but well… it was better suited than the human variant.

Well. He was gone for a day, at least.

Afternoon Squabbles

"If you really think you can take it, we can make it public," he said, sitting down opposite of her chosen coffee table. She raised her brows, letting go of the straw to her milk shake for a second: "... what?" "You said I should think about it. And I did. I thought about it. And if you want to, we can make it public and we can meet properly," he nodded decidedly. She kind of stared. Then said: "You... want to make our... 'relationship' public? And don't crinkle your nose, you know we're not that traditional" The nose un-crinkled slightly. Then he said: "... I am not ashamed of you. At all. I'm... it's simply... I had relationships before... and... they didn't do well with... publicity" She chuckled: "Really? You think I'll crumble under smearing campaigns?" "It's not that easy, you know that, yes?" "Well, sure, thousands of people telling me to die isn't going to be great, but... I'm perfect. It's just a fact," she said, slurping her milkshake, "And I will take it as an insult if you continue looking so sceptical" Once again, he fidgeted: "... so... that's... a yes? We make it... official?" It was worth a bit of a thought. Honestly, she hadn't thought he would go there. "I could use any time I get photographed as an advertisement opportunity" "What?," he looked confused. "There are caps and uniforms of my place of work," she chewed at her nail, "I could just always use those... and use that as an excuse never to answer questions" "... it's... not that easy, I think," he looked unhappy again. "Well, it's not easy to ruin my back by travelling in car trunks either" "That- it was only one time!" At least he looked sorry. "But it did happen. And I don't know how far this will go..." she grumbled. "So, you really think... we should go there? You can't go back from the public, you know?" Looking sincere as he did, she tilted her head at him. "We can always break up, then the interest in me will vanish," she shrugged. "No" Once again, she laughed: "Well. Well, sure. We can. I might come to your home today" and wriggled her brows. "Uhm... well... we wanted to not- but. Well. If you'd like..." He blushed. It was worth it.

[x]She is magnificent. The thought that returned every single time I laid eyes on her.There was a wildness to her. Hidden in her lite form. All poised and elegant grace, she had taken the gifts and had… let them be in her proximity. 

As much as I wanted them to mark her, to actually reach her core, her being, as much as I wanted her to be truly mine, ensnared and kept. It was impossible. And every time I did manage to capture a small part, every time I won - and I did. Of course. I always won. It was out of the question not to  - every time it happened her defiance grew sharper. More defined, more readily available. This part was, what still made her an angel. A being that still served ‘god’. A part that hated me. I wanted it. Needed it. Especially since she never acted on it. Only defied me with quips, words. Her melodious voice hard and unforgiving. 'God’s Strength’. She really was. The last defiance. One day, she will lash out and it won’t be a match for my strength - not with everything I gathered, not with every tiny part I did take from her - and she will lose and I will subdue her. Again. Have her, for myself. Her her voice cry out, defiance almost forgotten. But only almost. Never have her all. Never. I always wanted - needed - and held onto her, but she never gives in. Not completely. The closest times I can really have her is when she lays before me, moaning and asking - silently, with her her body - for more, harder, faster.And after it she came, by now with a shout, then I could hold her. And she grabbed my arm as well. When she gave in to sleep. Subconsciously, I supposed.

She is magnificent. And I wanted her. Absolutely nothing could stop me from having her.I walked over, wrapped my arms around her and kissed her just below her earlobe. Choker still in place, I nudged and nibbled her shoulder: “… mine”And she glanced at me, defiance in her eyes… and I couldn’t help but crowd her against the table, taking her lips. The hand on my robe not YET pushing me away. A slow grin spread. Small steps.

Rosa Meets Goopy 9

I watched the little feathered not-dog hop out the window, looking from side to side, before it moved in the shadows ad actually almost merged with it.

The purplish black mass was barely visible in the shadows. It blend right in.

What a strange critter it was. Shows up, gets picked up by Rosa and… stays. Actually developing half a braincell and then it turns out it eats demons and his owner didn’t think anything of it.

Rosa is probably the only person in hell that wouldn’t have run for the hills exactly the moment they realised that. She just… kept him.

Him.

Stupid bastard.

If he wouldn’t be down here, then… then…

…

I sighed, following the critter around.

He wasn’t too attentive. As in: He didn’t notice me, walking in a normal fashion among the lazy people in the hell of Sloth. But he paid enough attention not to draw attention to himself.

Which was somewhat impressive, considering his actual thing was pride.

Suppressing its own instincts, it snuck around. The third week in a row.

It apparently became a habit: Waiting until Rosa was gone, then wobbling through the window and getting around to… consume.

Food. Animals. Raw ingredients. Hellbeasts.

The last one was rather odd, really. He really shouldn’t be able to eat quasi-demons.

But here he was, preying on another one.

And, incidentally, it was one not native to this hell. Actually? A more fitting target, the bright feathers indicated pride.

I could even spot two eyes zoning in on the critter.

 With a sigh, I stopped in the crowd and simply reached down to pick it up.

A weird feeling. The critter was thin as a sheet and panicked almost immediately, snapping at my fingers.

… didn’t actually bite or break skin, though.

When I pulled it up in front of my face, it returned to a more animalistic shape.

“You really shouldn’t be out here. I heard Rosa brings a new recipe, and will be home earlier. So shush with you, go back!”, I flung him into the right direction.

And followed him back ‘home’. Silly distressed critter even looked around.

It wasn’t very well oriented.

Probably led by emotions? It’s a little silly.

… he really seemed to have lost all his memories. And dignity.

I huffed. At least Rosa wouldn’t get in trouble.

Ariel is chilly and bitter and demands nothing and everything from life. Her childhood is cold and her teenaged years are harsh and her young adult life is unfair, but one day she finds that she has thawed under the gentle warmth of patience.

Tara is shy, but warms quickly and eagerly. Flowers are the wonder of her life, and she loves them and nurtures them with an indiscriminating touch. She freezes easily and burns even more readily, and she grows into a boisterous, welcoming florist for a small, intimate town.

Jim is constant and soothing, forever calm, forever cool. He guides without guiding, leads without leading, and in spite of his apparent passivity he does what he wishes.

Cassie is sunshine, warm from a distance but too intense to approach. She cares with such a passion that she has ceased to show her caring and professes to not care so that betrayal hurts a little less.

Leo simmers and scorches, and he consumes everything he can lay his hands on, only to find that there’s nothing left once he’s done. He is surrounded, always, but they always change, like water pouring over a waterfall.

Vince is studious and busy, forever buzzing between hobbies and work and socializing. He cannot be caught and pinned, is paralyzed by the idea of death, and fears and despises his mortality

Lee is playful and boisterous and ambitious, forever seeking the next thrill, the next risk, the next big hit.

Skyler is whimsical and cruel and fair, and holds possession of a sharp tongue and a blunt tone and a captivating voice. This one does not care for judgement nor possession which is not her own, but that which is hers she guards fiercely and jealously.

Garrett is solemn and always reverent. He takes jokes literally and nothing for granted and finds beauty and meaning and patterns in the obscure and seemingly patternless.

Carol is loves the snow and loves the cold, but her spirit is warm and her creativity cannot be dammed. She decorates with fairy lights and sculptures and messiness.

Alice is cold and heartbroken and so, so hopeful, but no help is forthcoming and she is not saved.

Percy is an ocean, raging behind the calm. He watches always, is wary always, and quietly builds his influence, waiting for the breaking of dawn.

Week 4

The article The role of religious fundamentalism in terror violence: A psychological study explores different factors that contribute to terrorist violence. Although not the goal of this article, its greatest contribution for me has been to bring the human perspective to trying to understand what makes a terrorist. Before reading this article, my view of terrorists was very black and white; they were the bad guys and we were the good guys. Through exploring psychological theories discussed in this article that offer possible contributing influences to being a terrorist, it opened my eyes that sometimes the people in these situations do not have a choice. Often, “terrorism is the last choice in a sequence of choices”(p.254). The situation that people are placed in, grow up in, or get involved in can dictate people’s actions in ways that are sometimes out of their control. Even when violence may not be the last choice, factors such as low self-esteem and the experience of severe grievances such as the loss of loved ones are part of the driving force behind the terrorist act. People aren’t born terrorists, but in fact commonly suffer great pain and loss, which is a universal part of the human condition. These elements in combination with other factors such as environment, socio-economic status, and childhood up bringing are all factors that have been implicated in discussions concerning terrorist acts.

The authors of the article quote Lanning (2002), who says, “if the psychodynamic approach is to help us understand the psychology of terror, it will do so not by showing how terrorists are different from us, but how they are the same”(p.29). This excerpt made me rethink the way in which I approached terrorists as the enemy, and instead gave me a desire to understand the situation in all its complexity.

The article discussed how “terrorist dialogues contained strong elements of ‘us vs. them’” where the ‘us’ is striving for freedom and the ‘them’ is the source of complete evil (p.255). This “polarizing and absolutist rhetoric” is described as a factor that contributes to the extreme violence of some terrorist groups; however, it is also a dichotomy and mentality that we can take on too (p.255).

Although nothing can justify terrorist acts, this article has presented the complex psychological and human dimensions of an issue that is too often simplified.

The Reasoning Behind the Style and Layout of My Blog

I used Tumblr as the website for my blog as it has a vast number of users, between 30-50 million active users. The site is also hosts to BBC, NBC, ABC, and other TV channels as their fanbases call Tumblr home. I discovered Tumblr through Twitter and have had my own personal blog for nearly 5 years. Therefore I know how to use the site, know the coding, know how to get my work seen my masses, and know that it is becoming a hugely popular way to showcase work. 

The layout of my blog is simple, as I simply want potential employers and people within the industry to look at my work and not try to figure out how to use an over complicated website. I wanted my blog to be in thirds, to reflect the rule of thirds which is used in TV and film. The colouring is simple as well, complimenting one another with off white colours to make it easy on the eyes, and the text is a dark grey making it easy to read and not get lost in over powering colours. 

There is a textured pattern on the far left as to not make the entire blog boring to look at with all the simple colours. The content is on the far right, as whoever looks at the blog will look at the brief description on the left and read from the left to the right and see my work. There are links on the far left and above the description for easy access to discover more about me and the work I have done. 

I have also included the 'amsmedia' logo which I created specifically to use whenever I wish to share my work with others so they are able to source the work back to me. The website also includes an 'About' me page and a 'CV' page which will be constantly updated. 

I feel that the culmination of all these things which have gone into my blog make it seem of a semi-professional manner, which reflects the stage of work in the industry that I consider myself to be. Throughout my time at Uni and I develop more skills and produce more work it will increase the level of professionalism I am able to show potential employers and those interested in my work.
