"Cage" is about a little Victorian bird locked away in a cage and only allowed to be one thing.. a songbird for the amusement of others. This idea is so much more layered than that but this is the basic premise. It is the taunting song of her liberation. I am not sure how often I will tell the backstory of my songs here. I may just start to leave them up for interpretation. But, in this day I also feel that can be dangerous. People tend to look for things to be upset about. Thank you @n0thingimages for videotaping.
