Self Remedies That Cure Tonsil Stones
Chances are, if you’re on this site, it’s likely because you want to learn how to cure tonsil stones. Well you’ve come to the right place. I know what you’re going through. I had to live with those nasty things for three long years. I did a lot of research on the internet, bookstores, and meeting experts. I was finally able to terminate tonsil stones permanently. Anyone can cure tonsil stones, and this website will show you exactly how to do it.
Before getting into getting into the best tonsil stones cures, I want to quickly clarify something, I want to make sure that you understand something, which is that tonsil stones and tonsillitis are NOT the same thing.
Tonsillitis is the inflammation of your tonsils. What happens with tonsillitis is that your tonsils becomes red and swollen. This occurs because of a virus or bacteria has caused an infection of your tonsils.
Tonsil stones on the other hand, occur when the tiny pockets in your tonsils (“tonsil crypts”) are infected, not the tonsils themselves (tonsillitis), although tonsillitis and tonsil stones can be present at the same time. If you can see whitish or yellowish stones in the back of your throat, you know you likely have tonsil stones. Bad breath is another common symptoms of tonsil stones.
Ok, so now let’s talk about how to cure tonsil stones. Although tonsil stones is not a serious medical condition in that you’re not going to die from it, but it does seriously negatively affect how you live your life and the quality of your life. At least I know it did for me. Tonsil stones can be painful, and nobody likes have bad breath.
There are a number of ways of treating tonsil stones without having the need to go to a doctor, have surgery, or take antibiotics.
One way that may work for you, is to simply try to cough the stones out. Coughing the tonsil stones out is definitely not the most effective and comfortable way, but it is a way.
A better way to get your tonsil stones out is to gently poke them out with a cotton swab. Some people even use a toothbrush, but I’m definitely more comfortable with a Q-Tip. When using this method, be careful not to poke too deep or hard. You don’t want to cause an infection in the mouth.
Another way to get rid of tonsil stones at home is to fill a syringe with salt and warm water, and flood the tonsil stones loose. You may also try gargling with salt water to loosen them up; doing this repeatedly will eventually make it easier to expel.
If you are able to reach the stones with your fingertips, you can try to scrape them off.
Another tonsil stone treatment is to use high pressured water jets that will act as laser to loosen the stones.
Update:
Here are some other articles I have written that talk more about these methods in more detail:

Remove Tonsil Stones From Your Life!
If you’re looking for the best ways to get rid of tonsil stones, it’s likely because you too have noticed that people immediately back up as soon as you lean in to talk to them. This topic is delicate, but it obviously needs to be addressed, which is why I created this website. Bad breath or halitosis is caused by a number of factors often associated with bacterial growth in the mouth, but a common, frequently missed condition associated with it are known as tonsil stones.
Tonsil stones or tonsiloliths are accumulation of bacteria, food debris, and even post nasal drip in the tonsils, which become hardened or calcified over time. It is not a serious medical condition, nor associated with dire complications, but the accompanying symptoms of tonsiloliths, such as bad breath, tonsil swelling, and difficulty swallowing, cause personal suffering and social embarrassment.
Risk Factors For Tonsil Stones
Everyone who still has their tonsils is at risk for developing tonsil stones; however, tonsillectomy or surgical removal of the tonsils should be the last option. The tonsils are part of the body’s immune system, and removing them may increase an individual’s susceptibility to throat and upper respiratory infections.
Adults have larger tonsils than children, so they are more at risk for developing tonsiloliths. Additional risk factors include people who usually suffer from tonsillitis and taking in medications like painkillers and anti-hypertensive drugs, which cause dry mouth.
Tonsil Stones Cure?
So what are the best ways to get rid of tonsil stones? Fortunately, getting rid of tonsil stones can be easy and can be done in the private of your home. Before resorting to surgical procedures like tonsillectomy, try the following steps.
Medications – there are nasal sinus drops and oxygenating tablets sold to get rid of the anaerobic bacteria that accumulate in tonsil stones. The anaerobic bacteria thrive in very little or no oxygen, so the tablets and oxygenating nasal spray help kill the bacteria and prevent them from producing sulphur, as in bad breath.
Remove them yourself – perhaps the second best way to get rid of tonsil stones is to dislodge them yourself. This requires care, however, since the tonsils may bleed if you poke vigorously on the tonsil stone. Use the blunt end of a toothpick, a Q-tip, or a gentle toothbrush to pop the tonsilolith out. You can also try pushing the tongue out with force and letting the throat muscles force the tonsiloliths out.
Flush it with water – there are tonsil stone removal kits sold in the market which use low pressure jets of water and are used to spray on the tonsil crypts. You can do-it-yourself, though, by taking an empty nasal spray and filling it with warm water and a half teaspoon of salt. Spray in the tonsils. Drink lots of water to prevent tonsilolith formation.
Laser surgery – for people with deep tonsillar crevices or pits, a laser procedure can smoothen the tonsil and prevent accumulation of mucus and food debris that may attract bacteria.
There are many remedies, drugs and other treatment options for tonsillolith today, and it can be hard to filter out all the noise.
