Hi 👋 just wanted to tell you all that today it’s 6 weeks and 1 day since I last had opioids and 12 WEEKS (that’s 3 MONTHS??!!) since I last had benzodiazepines... and that’s despite an awful UTI. I am immensely proud of myself and am gonna celebrate in some way when I feel well enough 🥳!! Today’s celebration was a bath, pjs, and Netflix. This is really, really bloody hard... but it’s also absolutely worth it. I am officially a quarter into the year of withdrawal symptoms that people typically experience with my benzodiazepines. I already feel so much better and brighter; it’s hard to imagine what I’ll feel like once I’m out of the withdrawal window and done detoxing. I’m especially proud of myself for not falling back into the pain management I’m used to, aka the opioids, whilst battling this kidney infection... there have been a few wobbly moments, but with my other meds and my multitude of management techniques, the moment passes. Knowing the meds are still prescribed and right there for when I really need them actually makes it easier to clearly think about if I really need them. Also, I’m stubborn and competitive (yes, even with myself 😂) so now I’ve committed to this, I’ve COMMITTED 😂💪🏻!! I want to write something more eloquent, but very tired. Just wanted to share this achievement I guess! If anyone wants to ask questions about detoxing from opioids and benzodiazepines, please feel free to DM me. P.s. Don't be afraid to ask yourself why you do what you do. Your the best person to ask trust you. Now if your under a curse and don't know I'm sorry your gonna have to see through that shit on your own we've all been warned too much. I knew it was gonna hurt letting folks go but hey I've already had loved ones tell me I'm on my own because my methods of help were too much work and conspiracyish. I dropped that paranoid what's gonna happen next attitude in the past don't know when exactly but ever since I've felt the changes and their positive . It hurts but hey love is pain and pain is love, pain is constant throughout life they say. Well nope I'm done with that shit thank the most highs ! :)
