"La Tana" (also known as the "Banga" bungalow)
"Banga" is a modular, space-age, micro-architecture structure designed by Italian architect Carlo Zappa in the early 1970s. It was produced by the company 3R and distributed by Bungalows International SRL.
The unit has external dimensions of approximately 3.24m x 3.24m x 2.80m, offering an 8.1m² floor space. It is constructed from a double layer of fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin (GRP) sheets with insulation in between.
The interior typically features a living room-bedroom layout with two sofas that can be converted into four beds. It includes various integrated niches, shelves, and cupboards for storage. The interior is often finished in high-gloss white paint, though some variations in interior color exist.
The structure weighs approximately 850 kg and was designed as modular architecture, intended to be easily transportable and assembled.
