"Vandalism's against school rules," Aomine says, crossing his arm and grinning like he's just hit the jackpot and damn.

Midorima, still holding the knife he'd used to slash the tires, folds his arm and stands up to his full height, glaring down at Aomine, and says, "You have no proof; they'll never take your word."

"They would against yours--but I tell you what; let's say you take me to dinner downtown tonight and I'll forget the whole thing?" says Aomine, and Midorima's about to sneer some sort of denial--but then again, he doesn't want to risk anyone finding out, either (and this has nothing to do with the voice in the back of his mind whispering something about Aomine looking hot with that kind of smirk on his face).

Maybe it's the green hair and eyes, but Midorima looks really good surrounded by flowers, framing his face in shadows and petals. It's why Aomine stays late at the shop, dawdles when closing, because Midorima will always stop by (because, he says, it's on his way home, which Aomine accepts for now) and in the dying lights of the summer day streaming through the window glass, broken up by the hanging plants, he looks almost ethereal or something. Not that he's an angel or anything (he assures Midorima of this and of course Midorima remarks that Aomine's even less of an angel and then their faces are close and he really does have to close up but he kisses Midorima first).

She's almost a foot shorter than him but she fits so easily with him, her tiny hand on his waist, and she keeps up with him, shorter legs going at a faster pace than he'd thought was possible. He thinks of offering to slow down to try and accommodate her, but she's a better dancer, better at matching herself to his movements or forcing him to go at her pace than he would be at trying to match it on his own. And, if he's being honest, sometimes it's a little hard to think when the smell of her shampoo is overpowering even the sweaty dance studio smell and she's clutching him this tightly.

HimuMibu - The botched date that kinda turned out okay in the end AU.

This date hasn't gone well--the guy was late and then he'd turned out to be prettier than Reo and he'd been flirty with the waitress and Reo's honestly considering faking sick to get out of it. He coughs, tucking a lock of hair behind his ear.

"Are you alright?" the guy says, a convincing look of concern crossing his delicate features, and fuck--maybe Reo should stick it out.

MidoKise - The first moment they noticed they were in love.

Shintarou's about to go to work when Ryouta finally rolls out of bed, still dressed in nothing but Shintarou's old t-shirt with a hole in the sleeve; he flops onto the couch next to Shintarou and yawns while the ending theme of the Oha-Asa theme plays from their low-fi tv speakers. Shintarou's dress shirt is smooth under Ryouta's arm as it slides across Shintarou's back, and Shintarou makes no comments about how unpresentable Ryouta is right now, bending his head to accept Ryouta's sloppy kiss, the remote in his hand pressing awkwardly between their thighs until Shintarou makes that dissatisfied clicking sound in the back of his throat, and he's half-frowning with his glasses askew when Ryouta draws back and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

"I love you," Ryouta murmurs before he can stop himself--Shintarou's cheeks flare like a fire alarm and he drops the remote, but before he picks it up he manages to choke out that he loves Ryouta, too.

129 first grade au

Kokonoe looks up just in time to duck away from the block that's hurtling toward his face; it glances off his glasses and drops to the floor but he doesn't have to look up to know who threw it. He punches a still-grinning Hisami in the stomach, but unfortunately for both of them the teacher's seen everything.

They sit in the time-out chairs ignoring each other, until Hisami holds out one grubby hand (Kokonoe's not sure why he takes it, or why it feels nice to hold).

Lisa and Nine. High school football game.

Female kickers aren’t unheard of but she gets teased for it just the same; the thing about her that bothers him most (if he had to pick) is that she just lets it slide and puts others in the position of standing up for her. On the other hand, it’s hard to hold a grudge against her when she kicks the football cleanly through the goalpost every time. He sticks his fist out and she meets it with her own, something like a smile playing on her lips beneath the helmet—maybe she’s not all that bad.

Donerty/Blesse double date

It's probably not customary to look at someone other than his date as soon as the curtain falls, but Blaine finds himself immediately turning his head to Kyle, anyway; it's not like he could mouth 'what was that,' to Jesse, anyway. The blonde only shrugs in response, which makes Blaine feel much better about thinking that - whatever that was - was the most bizarre piece of theatre he's ever seen.

At least, it does, until Jesse and Bridget say in unison: "That was brilliant."
