Tonight, I almost met Taylor Swift.
I was going to sleep over Alyssa's, but my mom said that I had to sleep at home tonight because someone has to be with Zoe. My dad's working in Mansfield and my mom had to go to Boston for a medical emergency involving my grandfather (he's OK for now). So, I couldn't hang with her tonight because I was only allowed out for a few hours and I had already made potential plans with CJ. So, I told Lyss we would Taylor search another night!
So, I was at the bonfire with CJ, Greg, Paithan, Kayla, Hannah, and Meg. All of a sudden. Greg with his damn smart phone is all "ALYSSA MET FUCKING TAYLOR SWIFT".
WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. WHAT. THAT WAS ALMOST ME. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME. WHAT IS MY MISFORTUNE. OMG HELP.
But guys. No one loves Taylor Swift more than Alyssa Brumfield does. I promise I can attest to that. Taylor has honestly changed her life and I can't even be jealous or mad or upset that I didn't meet her after learning that Alyssa touched Taylor too. Here's the text she sent me:
Alyssa: WELL DID I TELL YOU HOW LAST TIME SHE WAS ON CAPE I LITERALLY WROTE HER A LETTER OF 8 PARAGRAPHS AND GAVE HAYDN THE LETTER AND SOME STUFF FOR HER TO SIGN WELL HE GAVE IT TO HER THIS TIME AT WORK TODAY AND WHEN I SAW HER TONIGHT I WAS LIKE HI TAYLOR AND I EXPLAINED HOW I WROTE THE LETTER AND SHE FREAKED OUT AND THERE WERE TEARS IN HER EYES AND SHE TOLD ME IT WAS THE MOST HEARTFELT LETTER SHE EVER READ AND SHE HUGGED ME LIKE 8 TIMES SHE KEPT SAYING HOW MUCH SHE LOVED ME
How can I be mad? No one deserves to meet Taylor more than Alyssa does.
I'm so so so so happy. I can't even fathom what Lyss must be feeling, because this girl has been such a gigantic part of her life for the longest time. Love you Lyss, sorry I couldn't be there with you but I'm so happy that you met Taylor and that in giving her the letter, you got to tell her everything that you want her to know.
