Uh, context for my earlier post about drills. The house next door, that is also conveniently right next to my window, was sold fairly recently, and they’re uh... pretty loud. Like, a while back I was in a group meeting and they were cheering so loudly that one member asked if there was a party going on. I wish the new neighbors would do the quiet

It’s your birthday today, but I don’t know how old you are. I’ve stopped wondering if you remember mine. Admittedly, I don’t think about you often, I would have forgot today all together, save the digital reminder. But there, the fact that I haven’t moved myself away from you should count for something. We were always counting the score, you and I.

Do you still buy pillows when you’re sad and lonely? I’m sorry for being so scared, for seeing the horror in you and turning my back to it. Do you know, it’s still the saddest thing I have ever known about someone? Thank you for that. For all of the times you were willing to be vulnerable and offer yourself. I hope you don’t. I hope you have a whole new life by now, that there is a woman who you wake up to and a baby you kiss at night.
