Caps Practice 4/7/17 (3/3)
After practice, there was a group of kids calling for each of the players, as usual. But for the first time that I’d seen, Ovi actually came over and signed a few things. Needless to say, they were very VERY excited. Beagle also came over, and was a sweetheart as usual.
Over in the first rink, they have a big banner congratulating them on winning the Presidents’ Trophy - YAY! I love these ridiculous hand-made banners so much.
In the second rink, while we were there, they were hanging a banner congratulating Orpik and his wife, Erin, with a picture of a stork - apparently they’re expecting! Congratulations, Brooks & Erin. :D I didn’t get a picture of that banner, but @tiptoe39 did.
After, we went down to the 7th floor for a big, though it’s not the official area, but Tippy managed to get Burky to sign her Burky shirt, so it was worth it.
They’ll continue to have open practices during playoffs, and are encouraging kids to come to them, so I may bring n by next week at some point, but I expect it’ll be a madhouse, as it’s spring break. So I’m glad I got to go to this last not-so-crazy practice of the season.
