It's that time again! Communities across America, Canada, Australia, Croatia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, England, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, Spain, and Wales are gearing up for a 40-day peaceful prayer vigil in front of abortion clinics to end abortion.
40 Days for Life is one of the best ways to protect children and their mothers from abortion.
40 Days for Life is:
- Peaceful: All volunteers sign agreements to pursue peaceful solutions to abortion, show compassion, and cooperate with local authorities while NOT harassing, using violence, obstructing sidewalks or driveways, littering, threatening or verbally abusing, or damaging private property.
- Legal: Campaigns are held in the public right-of-way in front of an abortion clinic as an exercise of the right to free speech and free exercise of religion. They are always held within the restraints of applicable local and national laws.
- Effective: 8,245 lives have been saved through this campaign as a result of women changing their minds and choosing life. That's 8,245 children who are alive today who wouldn't have been otherwise and 8,245 women who were not harmed by abortion -- at least that time.
- Easy: Take an hour out of your week for 5-6 weeks and pray for an end to abortion while showing your community that you don't agree with this choice. Or be like me and take an hour each day! It's almost easier, because you can work it into your routine during the 40 days.
Find your local campaign and contact the coordinator to see how you can get involved.
Does your area not have a campaign? Contact your local right-to-life or pro-life organization and ask them if you can help them start a campaign in the Fall!
