Substation Package contract
A notable update in India’s Substation Package contract space sees OPTCL pushing its Ramkrushnapur 400 kV GIS EPC submission to 10 November 2025. The Rs-scale turnkey tender covers a 2×500 MVA 400/220 kV substation with associated 4.6 km LILO connectivity between Kuchei–Pandiabil and Kuchei–N.Duburi lines.
The 14-day delay—its first extension—was introduced to help EPC bidders align OEM quotations for GIS, transformer, and protection systems. This 400kV GIS EPC follows OPTCL’s standard two-envelope structure and is expected to attract repeat participants like L&T, Siemens, GE T&D, and KEC.
While no clause changes occurred, the step reinforces OPTCL’s policy of calibrated flexibility under its state-wide high-voltage build-out. The minor adjustment also protects bidder competitiveness in a market crowded with simultaneous tenders,Substation Package Contract, OPTCL, 400kV GIS, Odisha Power, Energy line India,Transmission EPC, GIS Projects, High Voltage India.
